Again, if you have to take these measures, what's the point of keeping him?

Simply put...  this.  And again, it makes no fuging sense to put us behind every other team with a vacancy if this is Tepper's mandate.

No OC worth their salt are gonna wanna come here.   So what?  We wait to fire him until March?  May?  Late February at best?

It makes no sense.  And again, outside of the maybe the Rams OC, neither of the other guys are inspiring.  And I dont know why any of them would want to come into this situation regardless, other than maybe the hope that they will be inheriting the chance to be HC again - and judging from Gruden and BOB's previous tenures, that would just be more assured dysfunction.

Tepper is horrible.

What Rock star OC is going to work in Carolina with no OL and QB?  Stay tuned.

For a college coach they owe zero favors to? Pretty sure they'd be more interested in taking a shot coaching Justin Fields or Trevor Lawrence. Darnold is gonna make the best OC available look like a total bust. He's gonna get the leftovers from the 3-4 desirable coaching jobs already interviewing new staff

Yup Gruden was caught wasted, smoking weed hitting on some young chick right around the time he got fired from Washington correct? If they took one of these guys there is no Rhule culture/program building or whatever. It's just a bunch of guys that fuged up an entire football organization scrambling to put something resembling an actual NFL team together to save the fans from complete disinterest. Really wish we'd grabbed Dan Campbell or even Saleh over Rhule

Am I the only one that thinks this makes zero sense? I don’t hunk tepper would fire him based on who he does/doesn’t bring on as OC? So if he picks someone whose not a rockstar they’re staying but Rhule is fired?

What has Tepper done to this point that made you say "Yeah, that makes a lot of sense"?

Ass backwards seems to be the norm around here.

Rhule can’t choose a rock star OC because he doesn’t have a clue what one looks like.

Rhule is a fool who duped Tepper out of $60,000+ and we’re all paying the price. The Panthers are the laughing stock of the entire NFL.

What is a Rock star OC??

Wasn't Brady a Tock star OC??

Based on what? Not being a smartass, legit question.

When Rhule was hired, he reported early that the Panthers were in Waco but Rhule had an interview with the Giants lined up also so if Carolina fell in love they do want him getting on the plane. That’s exactly how things turned out.

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
