If Sam had, at minimum, not fumbled the ball going forward, it would've been a first down based on where his body was, so Cam likely makes that a TD, not just a first down.  But seeing as how Sam and our staff are habitual fug ups, that's what we got.

Darnold has run well in prior games, but he isn't running well at all today. Heck, he slid behind the line of scrimmage on one scramble. Statistically, that's a sack

All in all, I'd much rather have gone play action. But if you were determined to run it, you've gotta use Newton.

Yup.  He has been playing scared all day.

Real strategists and tacticians running the show here, I tell ya!

Best short yardage QB/power rushing QB of all time in one hand, Sam Darnold in the other.

Every time this dude speaks he sounds more and more clueless.

It's poo like this (and like 20,000 other things that will prevent me from ever being okay with Rhule being here).

I've kept my mouth shut through most of this, but Rhule is one of those guys that talks to you with his mouth full of food, spitting slobber and pieces of corn and poo all over you while you try to sit there and be nice at first but eventually you gotta just get up and shove your whole plate in his face. What a fuging absolute moron. Tepper still sittin there gettin food spit at em thinkin thats how people eat.  Matt Rhule is scum, literal piece of dog poo that I scrape off on the concrete because I don't want the grass to look bad. I hope he fugin reads this too, you've had two years coach, prove me wrong. Prove to me and all of us that you aren't one of the biggest smiley glad handed assholes that this org has had as a coach, because honestly, if you were my employee, I would have fired you way earlier no matter how much money I owed you because you are a fuging bum. If your players have bought in to your "Coach Rhule gonna turn this around" then they're even bigger idiots than you are. I loved this organization, key word "loved" I used to be proud to be a Panthers fan, even in the dark days. These days are pitch black.

Quoted you to say this monologue is one of the most epic posts this season. Reminds of Clark Griswold in Christmas Vacation.

    • I'm not to sure it's a solid argument to try to estimate what he will do this season, BUT he's had a solid 3 years in the league. Here's his numbers compared to Jewell's for the same time period. I can see the logic of getting a starting MLB for a (at best) WR4. AT, XL and Tmac are certainly our top 3 guys IN 2025. Certainly worth pondering.
    • Training camp just started and it's already starting... https://www.facebook.com/reel/24277303321904901/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v LOL No one believes you and you have fan pages sharing this with a "Play him or trade him" headline. Oh wee mayne. This is why no front offices wanted any part of this.
    • Honestly, it only makes sense if you're trying to chase being the best bad team you can be this year. The number one question we need answered this season is whether or not Bryce is our long-term franchise QB. Trading away a second year WR who was second on the team in catch percentage, first in yards per target, and who clearly outplayed your 1st round pick for a likely one year rental fill in LB is exactly the type of short sighted desperation moves that has made us the worst franchise in the league under Tepper. We gotta stop making these types of moves and just focus on building a good organization and a good roster. Lloyd is a JAG LB another bad team and awful defense is wavering on and a couple of Panthers fans are salivating over him. Oof. We just need to be patient and wait. Definitely make some calls around the league to teams deep at LB and see if there's an opportunity to add one for a late round pick. Definitely shop the waiver wire hard. The reality is that LB is almost certainly going to be a weakness for us this year. We weren't fixing our entire roster in one off-season and we're not fixing an overall weak positional group in late July.  If you trade for Lloyd LB is still a weakness and you've given up a young promising WR who could potentially help you answer the question of whether or not Bryce is that guy. That's bad football business.
