For him to make those remarks about Slater after we fielded some of the worst OL lineups in history is simply unforgivable.

And given Slater's performance. It's one thing to think that in the pre-draft process. Scouts miss on evaluations all the time. But to say it after you have 17 games of NFL tape with Slater playing well at LT? Yeah, not good.

That’s fine. Horn is going to be a great player and a foundational piece to our defense.

That said, we didn’t miss him at all and witnessed first hand how quickly you can replace/mask that piston.

Slater would have been the better pick.

Yeah, if Horn had played this season and had 4 picks and made the pro bowl, nobody would be questioning the pick-we were terrible at CB last year-short memories.

I am less confident in Rhule than I was yesterday.

That's because he fugin confirmed he can't evaluate talent for poo...usually people don't admit it like that lol...he's even dumber than we thought and we thought he was about as dumb as it gets.

Science needs to take a look at how he can breathe unassisted.

Ron Rivera said multiple times during his tenure that when was with MH, he told MH what he wanted, and dealt with what MH got him. Not all GM/HC relationships and processes are created equal. There really is no "blueprint" for success. Even if you look at the top 4 teams in the league, they all operate their FOs differently.

True. I just don’t think Rhule was the type of guy to take that approach with. Tepper seems to prefer a one-man show over a dynamic duo so hopefully post-Rhule we find someone that can operate in this capacity more effectively.

What is his obsession with "ideal size"?

I have no idea. When Tony Dungy turned around the Bucs he used to look for the smaller guys because they typically had more fight in them and had to be more technically sound to get this far.

Can someone just ask with the line performing so poorly all year, why did it take him until the last few weeks of the season to put BC at his college position of Tackle? Why did he wait for the last game of the year to put in brown?

What is his obsession with "ideal size"?

With his comments about Slater's size and BC's arms, seems he is trying to fill ideal molds rather than put the best player in the position that they can play.  Wonder if he suffered from Napoleon complex as a player and is not fixated on measurables. He needs to drop the tape measure and pick up the game tape.

It would be one thing if Brady was some alarmingly T. rex of a man but he really isn’t that much smaller than Gross as you and others have pointed out.

And some of the best LTs (Jason Peters immediately comes to mind) we’re undersized arm length wise.

    • I don't think so. I think once you're measuring electronically, the spot is where the sensor says it is. So if it says half yard short of the line to gain, that's the spot. Now how that works with scrums and the ball moving on two minute drills and poo is anybody's guess.
