Wow. I thought players knew the ref had to touch it. I mean that’s why players are always running the ball to one in close games/in general. Had they done this, easy 1 second left.

They actually tried to set their own ball/spot lol

And Dak should have went down like at least 5 yards earlier and maybe they would have had 1-2 seconds

I could understand the logic of picking up 8 yards. Clock it. Then have a short enough field for your QB to use his arm strength and rifle it into a window.

But Dak ran too far and ate too much clock.

It's really not worth the risk when all you stand to gain is 8 yards.

You could throw a quick out to the sidelines for those same 8 yards, while risking essentially nothing. Or just go ahead and start taking shots at the end zone.

That's what EVERY other coach in the world is going to do in that situation. I don't even think Rhule would have been this stupid.

So many good things (even though the Panthers are once again on the outside looking in) happened thus far :

Pats get STOMPED.  (F.U. BelliDICK)

Bengals FINALLY win a playoff game after 3 decades (I feel good for their fans as it must've been a running bad-joke for them all this time.  I bet they placed bets on how they would choke this game away).

And speaking of CHOKING :

How about 'dem Cowboys?   😂

How about 'dem "Future Super Bowl Champs" that the league annointed them after they beat up a non-playoff-caliber Panthers team early in the season?   😏

Same old Cowboys....The Champions...of the REGULAR SEASON.

BTW, as I stated in the other thread(which I meant to post HERE), I despise Stephen A Smith but one of the very few things I enjoy about him is his trolling of Dallas fans.

And I'm sure he's all like "Ha-ha" while pointing as if he was Nelson from the Simpsons.

He's going to have an absolute ball with this.

And I can't help (once again) to go back to that broadcast of the Cowboys against the Panthers where everyone was basically sucking their you-know-what.

Love it when they're all made to look stupid.

Speaking of, has anyone checked to see if Skip Bayless is okay?

Well. They probably weren’t going to get more than 1 shot at a Hail Mary anyway. Those tend to get intercepted.

They were almost close enough where it wouldn't have been a hail Mary. In fact, one more quick out to the sideline that picks up 5-10 yards, and its a decent shot at 1, and maybe two passes. In fact, you could throw one to the end zone, and on the second one, if nothing is open in the end zone, you could throw it to the 5 yard line and hope they can run it in.  IMO, it was an extremely high risk play, which is what it proved to be.

    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
    • I hear you but yeah like you say, above average. His numbers were good. You’d think it would be a no brainer. Anyhow… I guess the new staff is also fine with him walking?    I hope if we sign him there isn’t some secret issue of his that led to him not being valued.
