You’re not wrong. Can’t imagine anybody with career prospects - or self-respect for that matter - would want to work for a bottom 2 head coach.

Firing Brady at the end of the by week after the games started on that Sunday is a massive sign of disfunction & dumbassery. Moves like that have consequences.

first, the QB situation and OL is completely screwed up and very limited options to fix it, esp. in the draft.

then we've got a HC that is hanging on by a thread....

why would anyone that wasn't absolutely desperate want to come here? I mean it's essentially temp employment.

Can we really blame him? Associating your name with Matt Rhule might as well be career suicide. Dude is approaching Adam Gase levels of embarrassment, if he hasn't already. This is why we have to go after bottom of the barrel OC interviews like Mcadoo, since nobody else wants to have the Rhule/Darnold pair just destroy all hopes of their future HC chances.

Even Kubiak is probably realizing he'd be better off going back to QB coach or assistant under some legit NFL guys. If he takes this job he potentially ruins his career and also learns zero about the NFL from Rhule. It's not really attractive to anyone besides Mcadoo who would take the paycheck for a year

Adam Gase won more than 5 games in each of his first 4 seasons as a HC.   Only hear he didn’t was when a NFL front office attempted to tank for Trevor.

Matt Rhule has earned the ability to be viewed as better than Urban and Petrino.  That’s it.  Gase is a better coach.

A big fat paycheck and you never know, if Rhule is exited mid-season he might actually get the chance to take the wheel and show the NFL what he can do.

The guy has had 5 jobs in the last 5 years...he's used to one & done 🤣

in this win-now climate, someone with that record over 2 years is anything but safe.

What has Tepper shown that he proves he cares about winning? He only seems to care about money, which the franchise has increased in value despite the losing seasons, and about being one of 31 people out of a few billion that gets to say they own an NFL team.

    • I see that perspective, but there are some glaring differences.  At that time, the QB in Green Bay was entrenched  or proven and Love was the 26th pick of the first round--not the 8th.  Picking him at 8 was a reach, and people in Green Bay thought picking love at 26 was a bit of a reach (I recall many wondering if he would be a first or second rounder).  Cousins is new--has not even met his teammates.  This will impact the locker room differently.  Since the fans are not that attached to familiar as the Cheeseheads were to Rodgers, Cousins will have a bad game and the controversy will begin.  For that reason, I am not sure they did anything but use a first round pick to weaponize their fan base against the QB they just paid $100m in guaranteed money.  That did not happen in Green Bay--it will happen in Atlanta.  Popcorn is out.
    • Arod wasn't new to the team, nor did he sign 180milion deal with 100 million guarantees. Plus love was a 26th pick, not 8th overall. BTW cousins has a no-trade clause as well.... I think it made arod win the MVP too....which in itself worth the pick... The main point of drafting a rookie is for them to play on that cheap contract. At min penix will play two years from now, thus washing out the good part of his contract. Only way this works if cousins gets re-injured or busts. He will be 26-27 and need another contract by then.  No matter what the saints do, Each cap dollars do matter. It's an awful awful deal no matter the out come. Glad panthers will benefit!!
