Who's Olsen talking about?

In this tweet...

If I had to guess I'd say...Mike Martz.

Obviously Olsen had no issue playing under Ron Rivera and Mike Shula.

He never played under Matt Rhule but yes, he could be referencing him here.

I'd still put my money on it being about Mike Martz though.

I'd say Greg is probably pretty in tune with what Matt Rhule is doing here given his Carolina connections.  Plus, he knows what Cam really thinks about this joke shop.

and I think it was reported early that one of Rhule flaws was wanting to be too in control of every aspect of things.

So even if Greg isn't specifically talking about Rhule with the line of not telling....it sounds like Rhule is that type HC he is referring too.  For example, Rhule threw Cam hard under the bus for merely taking the built in audible on that 4th and 1 play.  Per Rhule, that should of never happened.  A vet and former MVP that knows short yardage as good as anyone....should of never audibled in that scenario per Rhule.  And it was built into the freaking play.  That just screams what Greg is talking about IMO.

Listen…I get the Rhule hate but those trying to argue that it’s him that’s stretching.

Mike Martz was 💯 the reason he wanted out of that situation in Chicago.

Greg is talking about a coaching type though.  Ones that presently exist in today's NFL.

He might not be directly talking about Matt Rhule.  Matt Rhule certainly seems to be the type coach Greg would be referencing in general though.

    • Jack Roslovic: Only 2 other UFA, right-handed centers age 28 or under had more points (39) than him- Sam Bennett (51) and Pius Suter (46). There were 4 other centers age 33 and older who scored more: Gireaux (37), Marchand (37), Tavares (34), Granlund (33).  Unless the Canes go old, if they let Jack walk, they won't get a center who scored more.  Thoughts?
    • nope     This is why we come back every year.  Hope springs eternal
    • It's important to differentiate criticism and hate. I can't speak for that individual you quoted. But most people who have been critical of the Tepper's have been so because both of them have made it a point to put themselves front and center and in the middle of team operations and we have been largely horrific more often than not as a result. If people are making derogatory remarks about her that should be met with an appropriate response but if people are being defensive just because she's being criticized all I can say is people should get used to it. Both her and David would have been getting absolutely skewered by the media and the fans if this were a big market franchise. The Lakers are finally being sold off after years and years of public criticism of Jeannie Buss and even though I'm the furthest you could go from being a Lakers fan just about anyone you could meet who is familiar with the NBA would say the criticism was certainly valid.
