Tepper should have fired Rhule, he will destroy this team for years to come. Dumb moves and things like this will set us back for years.

They already have

sadly we all know it

supporting a team that has some  bad luck with injuries or draft picks is one thing

supporting a franchise that is willfully ignorant of all the best practiced in the Nfl is something else again

If they were smart they would bring in Marriota  for a year on the cheap and build those lines, get rid of Darnold and get the qb next year but hey …

A little feedback on Cousins from a Vikings fan who has watched every game of the last 4 years.

Talent wise Cousins is a top 10 or at worst a top 12 quarterback in the league. He has decent arm strength, great accuracy and is very smart with the football. He is a a big upgrade over Teddy Bridgewater or Sam Darnold that much I can assure you.

Cousins is the type of QB that can win you a super bowl if you have a great team around him… However…

Very simply he is way overpaid and due to what he is paid you will never be able to build that great team around him. For that reason you cannot win a champions with him. You will always be competitive with him but never a real true contender. Cousins is a businessman before a NFL player or teammate. He will not leave a penny on the table. For what he makes he should be able to carry a team on his shoulders the way a Rodgers or Mahomes does and he cannot. Having said that if you can move mountains and get him to sign a team friendly deal to allow the team build around him then he is 100% worth it… but he won’t. Just my 2 cents

There are only 3 QB's I would trade 3 1st's for: Mahomes, Watson if he was clear, and Josh Allen. If all 3 1st's gets is Cousin's then I am out. This organization is a damn joke.

Trading 3 first rounders for the pleasure of extending Cousins for like 40 per season?  I mean fug that

    • Will be interesting to see how the Caps adjust. They were thoroughly beaten in this game despite it going to OT and they knew it by getting chippy. If they lose game 2 they’re in a hole they might not be able to dig themselves out of. They played old and tired tonight and I think they might get swept.
    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
