Got this reply from Josh, he acts like Watson never got to point to say no.

It was reported that the Panthers requested to interview him so they could ask some questions and get some clarity on his situation.

The request was denied. Unclear whether the denial came from the Texans or Watson.

So yeah, we never got to the point of actual negotiation.

Give away the farm for a QB that can’t save the franchise alone. We already had a generational talent at QB without an OL.  Why replay that story ? It’ll just be ground hog day all over again.

It will be an even worse situation with worse resources to build around.

We can restructure several players to free up a lot of cap space. Christensen at LT, and Moton at RT. Our center is not terrible. Deonte might be ready at RG next season, and guards in general are not that hard to acquire.

Lol sorry but you are pretty delusional about the state of things, wanting so bad for things to not be as bad as they are.

Reality is, moves and trades last year.... particularly what it cost to get Sam, screwed our chances of getting Watson. The time to get him was last year....or this year if 1) we paid for Sam and 2) got an OT last year instead of one of what would be 50 CBs.
