Your solution for the QB situation?

Not one of the options, but I would try and trade down in the first to get a 2nd rounder back. Draft some OL and role with Darnold. Also, if possible trade CMC for another 1st. I would draft OL with our first 3 picks, getting a LT, G, and C. Get them some experience their rookie years.

Then when we end up with the 1oa we can have our pick of the QBs in next years class and we should have a decent OL to put them behind.

I wouldn't go and spend money on any OL FA's until next offseason with this scenario.

Option 5 would be my first choice. Then option 2.

..I like 5 with Minshew only... option 2 would be Jimmy G turning into Sammy D....  Option one would set us back years especially if Watson got hurt.... he hasnt played in nearly 2 years... Fit said he wasnt gonna force it... he's lying .... none of those options will save fatboy rhule.... but they're gonna try anyway.

For 2022:

-mediocre cheap FA backup to the Darnold tank commander (Mullens/Dalton) or a 3rd-5th rounder IE Zappe/Glass)

-#6 OL or Garrett Wilson

-minimum 1-2 more OLs in draft

-minimum 1 FA OL signing (proven starter for once)

2023: Jake Haener or CJ Stroud

because I started the thread, create you own if you want other options.

Actually I tend to agree with you and if I had my way I would have him go with Darnold and just start over next year but like i said that isn't looking like it is going to happen.  So the point of the thread was what would people prefer out of the options that are looking more likely.

So basically if you can't get your way what other option would you like of the ones listed.

let's ignore the fact I listed 6 choices, but next time I'll explain it a little more clearly

The fact that you listed 6 choices does not make it my choice.  Maybe next time you should think about your thread title before you get all pissy with members on here because you didn't get what you were fishing for.

If we're being smart about this, the BEST move is retain Cam because Jimmy G, and Kirk C are not vaulting us to ''playoff'' caliber teams. When was the last time the Vikings were in the playoffs, two years, or was it three years ago with Diggs? Looking at SF they have one of the better running games in the NFL, a top two TE, and an Deebo solidifying himself; add to that a great defensive front (Bosa, Armstead, Greenlaw, Warner) -- we can't boast that atm.

So that brings you back to why waste draft capital on a guy that isn't a ''difference'' maker? Cam is the bridge QB if he returns, Sam becomes tradeable while we eat cap space. Sign some real quality OL, and let Brady man the LT spot and give the team a puncher's chance with a vet QB in Cam WHO has won in this league, and have the rookie (Willis my preference over Pitts due to upside) waiting and learning, and if / when the team is out of playoff contention the rookie closes out the season, and we keep all our picks heading into 2023.

    • I think i like the Oregon Safety better
    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
