The good guy Falcons.

Saints would have taken offers.

Trades can't be finalized until free agency opens anyway so they never would have gotten away with it had they tried.

Still, kudos to them for doing the right thing.

according to OTC, 11 mill cap hit if they cut him....guaranteed salary.  No cap relief for the Falcons, no trade value, and this is the last year of his contract.  He'll be a FA in 2023 if not banned by the league.  Tough break for Atlanta.

too late to edit, Falcons board saying they will indeed get 11 mill in cap space for this season.

Falcons fans pointing out a ton of drops that looked uncharacteristically bad or "intentional." NFL trying to make it clear this was all after he left the team but I don't completely buy it. Horrible look for the league especially if more info comes out that suggests he could've been betting on games while playing.

I fully expect to get f*cked when betting on games so it is what it is but yeah, he’s toast then

lol we really wanted him

Now Florio's arguing with Breer about it...

Calvin Ridley isn't a victim. He broke the rules and should be punished. It is still fuged up for the NFL to pretend to have any integrity when they look the other way on things much worse. Just suspend the guy and move on without all of the grandstanding.

    • I had everything saved on an old email address and my computer crashed and could not be revived.  I tried reviving it, then stumbled on one I was going to create several years ago...So I am using it instead.  My fault--did not keep the email and forgot password--
    • Rasheed Walker for Kris Jenkins Jr.is what i am actually referring to in that particular post  all those #'s you are referring to are athletic #'s & Monroe Freeling had or has an impressive combination of size & raw athletiscm & it has nothing do with his size or athelticsm that is preventing him from being a day 1 starter in the NFL technique is where he struggled at the NFL combine & not only scouts but analysts alike also viewed him as more of a developmental type of player rather than a day 1 starter  go take a look at Will Campbell transition from the SEC to the NFL another first round LT that was drafted #4 overall by the New England Patriot,s.Will Campbell was a three year starter at  LSU & was thought to be one of if not the very best LT's in the SEC  & compare his SEC carrer to his rookie season in the NFL? just because you played good in the SEC at LT does nescarrily mean you are ready to start at LT in the NFL day 1 & or your rookie season  & one last thing i think you are jumping to conclusion & somehow assuming that i do not like Monroe Freeling ?which could not be further from the truth .what i do not like is the idea starting a player who is not ready ...just saying
    • I'd 10x rather play the NFC North than NFC West.
