So we trade for Watson… how do we get somebody to trade for Darnold?

might be able to toss him into the Watson trade by adding another asset to it (mid round pick?). It's just 1 year of cap space taken up so for any bad teams not contending who have cap space (like the Texans) it's not a bad move to take his contract to get a pick.

If we made the trade for Watson, Darnold would have to be part of it. Otherwise we're going to be fielding a bunch of UDFAs and bottom of the barrel FAs just to fill our roster. We can't have 30% of our cap tied up at the QB position when we have so many holes.

Appears you made it up...

...but if you can provide confirmation from a legitimate source I'm open to reading it.

I think you confused Mr. Whip-It-Out with OBJ 🤦‍♂️

Here's a good one, because its prior to the Watson situation and before things had fully come to light.  This will get you started in your research to catch up with the current situation in Houston.

Pure speculation...

...and, per usual, not a single named source.  ("one player" 🤦‍♂️)

Look, unless the player contract has a "hurt feelings" clause in it said feelings do not constitute a breach -- gotta play for pay.

Your wrong as always LMAO, nobody gets traded they have to play out their contract or sit on the bench. Guess what two qbs already got traded because they wasn’t happy. Now STFU

Probably the deal has been made just waiting on the court preceding. By tomorrow afternoon we'll have the verdict on the trade.

Probably 2 #1s and CMC. Next year's second.

Add 2-3 young players, then you're talking. But I think it may take flipping CMC to a third team to facilitate, likely Buffalo.

I wouldn't even worry about them driving up the price with fake offers.  Fitt is very connected to other FOs and agents, I'm pretty sure he has a solid idea of what's going on.

The issue is, I don't think Tepper cares.  They've said he has wanted to put his mark on the team with his own guy since he got here, and I think he'll do anything to make that happen even if it goes against the advice of his FO.  He's a fuging idiot.

You are right, he does have some real connects.....but not to all teams. Im sure if a team said " Philly offered x, y, z" and Fitt called and they laugh.... Texans know he can not do that with TB. Just feels like they(texans) are going waaaay over about increasing the value.

Make another great point, Tepper is the name on the check and hes at that level of FU money were he gets what he wants or finds another person to do so. Finesser is feeling the billionaire heat, hotter than the suns center... Its going to be sad to see what happens to my last favorite team.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
