I kinda feel like there’s an element to this of NFL owners trying to teach tepper a lesson. They weren’t very happy about the Rhule contract

Sort of thinking the same thing. I do not remember seeing teams behaving this way before. Were other teams doing this when Russell Wilson was about to go to Denver?

That's the worst part about all of this. I won't be as upset if he signed with Cleveland. But, having to face Watson twice a year for a decade, after we just got done with facing Brees. It's like some franchise's just keep on dominating every year and replace their franchise QB right away with another. It's annoying being a Panthers fan.

After Cleveland I hope for Atlanta over New Orleans.

Atlanta only has 2-3 pieces they can trade. They got no weapons minus Pitts but he’s one of the 2-3 pieces they could trade. I’d be interested to see them try and build that team up after giving up picks and players

New Orleans instantly becomes NFC favourites imo if they trade for Watson

    • Nijman is actually one of the better free agent left tackles available in free agency and he will get a chance to start next year. He will get a raise and likely be re-signed. Christensen backs him up and they should sign another veteran tackle and/or draft a 2nd or 3rd round tackle as well. Zavala and Corbett need to go so they should also draft a guard. I’ve suggested they should trade down in the first round to accumulate more picks for depth they are going to need a lot of going forward.
    • Princely overall PFF was 47 compared to Scourton’s 68.   Not everything shows  up in the stats.
    • If you account for the discrepancy in snap counts, then Princely and Scourton actually had pretty similar production. Scourton: 717 snaps (68%) 47 tackles (7 TFL) 5 sacks 15 pressures 1 FF Princely: 222 snaps (22%)  24 tackles (2 TFL) 1.5 sacks 5 pressures 1 FF, 1 FR I think Scourton was simply given more opportunities to flash.  Then it goes to a more abstract argument of why Princely was not given more playing time.  But then we'd be blindly giving credence to the same guy who not only drafted DJ Johnson, but was happy to waste a roster spot and snaps on the guy for 2 seasons and some change.
