I'm not sure we deserve the 'keep pounding' chant/motto anymore. More like 'getting pounded'.

Got to give Tepper some props, he didn't give up. He just doesn't know how to win anything. He just knows how to buy.

It's the best thing to happen tbh. It's why I'm not even mad at Watson. When all is said and done Tepper is going to have to reevaluate everything. Our next coach should no doubt be vetted by a real GM and Morgan. The more tepper fades into the backdrop and allows qualified people run his org the better.

Whether or not Rhule was actually a deciding factor in Watson's decision doesn't matter. I just hope that Tepper blames it on Rhule and moves on from him.

So Tepper fires rhule and then what?  No reason to believe he won’t make another dumbass decision when he hires the next coach.

Tepper sucks.  When it comes to running a football team the guy couldnt find his ass even if he had four arms and all the lights on.

The mark of a true leader!!  Blame someone else and punish them for your own incompetence.

Lol. It didn't take losing out on a potential sexual predator to be our QB to make me not like David Tepper. Hell we could have landed Watson and I still would have disliked the guy.

Almost everything he has done since becoming the owner of the Panthers has rubbed me the wrong way. Don't even get me started about his billionaire ego.

I am sure a lot of Rams' fans still hate Stan Kroenke even though they just won the Super Bowl. The guy is just a POS.

Agreed. Side note: sorry I suggested we not ban Theinkisdry and hear him out.

I guess we are forced to live off hope that if Rhule can get his goofy ass fired next season Tepper will learn his lesson and let the real football guys control the organization. Maybe the guy can put his ego aside and let his high level intelligence take over to see that he needs to step off back into the shadows and let those who know what they are doing do their jobs. Tepper not only meddles some yet he gave all the power to the one idiot coach he should not have. How in the hell could Rhule come from college and Tepper believe he could give him Bill Bellicheck type control with the most limited pro resume one could have? Just dumb move after dumb move here. I fully believe that Rhule will coach his way right out of a job this season because he just can't coach at a pro level and I have to run off hope that then Tepper will start making some wise decisions on stepping away based on his damn analytics that he does not know what the hell he is doing. You don't even need billionaire analytics for that in all honesty as the proof is plain as day. Hopefully he wishes up BIG TIME.

I do appreciate that Tepper keeps swinging and is wanting to go big time in getting us a franchise QB and getting us a big name head coach (which Rhule was at the time in hype alone). JR didn't really go for that kind of thing. The fact that JR was ok drafting Cam was a shock, tbh.

Tepper was, essentially, just a fan of the game when he bought the team. He has an idea of what he wants, which is a big time championship winning team. He just needs to let someone else build it for him until he gets a few more years under his belt managing a team and spends more time learning from people that aren't Hurney and Rhule. He's got Fitt and Dan Morgan with him now so hopefully he will start listening to them.

I'm hoping that eventually he'll get it and can build a championship team. Right now, though, he's got all the ambition without the now how and experience. He's throwing a lot of punches but hitting air. Sometimes you have to accept you don't know what you're doing just listen and learn from experience and a few people who know their poo. Hopefully that's what Tepper is doing.

The problem is that takes humility and people with that much money aren't really known for that so I'm not holding my breath. But, if nothing else, this thing with Watson was a humbling experience so maybe he got a bit of it. We'll see.

That's probably what he'll do but I hope this is a big wake up call and he takes a long look in the mirror and realizes that he's been an abysmal failure as an owner thus far. Just pickup the phone and call Kevin Colbert after he officially retires from the Steelers following the draft and offer him a blank check to come here and oversee the building of the type of football organization Tepper planned to and surely honestly thought he was building with Rhule and company. Then just GTFO of his way and let him do it.

    • He wouldn’t have done either. He would have signed Kerry Collins or Matt Hasselbeck in Free Agency and then drafted somebody else tbh.    It was clear that Cam was better than the other two but everyone was scared to bet on him because Jamarcus Russell was still fresh on everyone’s mind.    Guarantee he would have brought back Matt Moore or and signed some vet.
    • I mean it works the other way too. Look at the people who skipped over Smith, Jenkins, Muhammad, Gamble, Kalil, etc. We have had more misses than hits but I promise other teams do the same thing.
