So he's anticipating the civil cases looking bad and getting a suspension. He better throw Case Keenum some extra cash on the side for covering his ass for multiple games

Even if there is nothing but settlements with no disclosure of anything, he got 22 cases pending. Ben got 4 games for 2 cases and Jameis got 3 games for “groping” an Uber driver. If he only get 8 games he’s lucky.

I said it was going to be the Panthers or the Browns before espn said the browns were out. I said multiple times that the saints and Falcons weren’t in a position to make the trade to which I was correct. He wanted to go to the Falcons of the Saints but they couldn’t make it happen.

With all due respect to what you know, the Saints and Falcons both could have made it happen.  In fact, if you look at all the restructuring the Saints were/are doing they were doing it implicitly to land Watson.

The big hurdle for the Failcons was Matt Ryan, his contract, and bonus.  All of which could have been handled with a trade (excluding the bonus payment which Atlanta could have made), and some waiving and restructuring of some of their players.

To simply say the Saints and Falcons couldn't make it happen are just not correct.

In the end though, they couldn't make that extra $230 million happen.  DW is all about that $$$ because he's got some civil suits to settle.  😂🤣😂

I am. Ecstatic. But I’m not sure we are on the same page as to why? Why do you think I’m thrilled?

Cleveland mortgaging their future on Watson with limited offensive options and the shackles they just placed on themselves to get better in the future.

I'm sure Watson doesn't care because he gets his money regardless.  El oh el.

You are correct. Good call. I explained it earlier almost exactly how you did. I know I mess with y’all some, but I never wanted him in CAR. Was hoping he would go to NO just so people that think the salary cap is a myth would see what was/and still is about to happen. But CLE is a great surprise. They had built a good team and just needed to settle the QB position with a solid option. And stay healthy. Now their fate is tied to someone I have no faith in being able to stay out of situations that will put him back in this position again. And he’s not over this one yet. He sits half a year and an entire season of all that talent disappears. The Steelers signed Mitch Trubisky and I’m still happy. So there is that.

That’s what puzzles me, they were out and he went back to them

Because they were the only team willing and/or able to fork over a quarter billion dollars guaranteed. We wouldn’t even guarantee the last 2 years of his last deal. Browns we’re literally all in.

    • I used to think Juan was a Zod alt. Agree he's a great poster.
    • Hawks said nah we good and sent him to the shadow realm aka the Wizards. Cold blooded. I mean they're 2-2 in a series with a young up and coming Knicks team largely through 34 year old CJ McCollum. Even if they ultimately lose the series at least they are there and have something to build on. I think Hornets fans are just beaten down and lack the objectivity to assess the situation. They think we are going to get so much worse if and when we finally change gears. Worse how? We've already been a lottery team for years now. We've already been looking to win our first playoff series in about a quarter century. We already can't get past the play in and in failing to do so we have completely embarrassed ourselves twice looking like we don't even belong. Honestly there is absolutely no excuse for a team like the Magic to be more competitive and successful than us in the playoffs. Absolutely disgusting. But that's just me. I was fuging lit when we got the Hornets back in Charlotte but that is old old news. It's time for these boys to get into a playoff series. Enough is enough. If they can't do it for 2026-27 then they need to make wholesale changes regardless.
    • Not one single pick that is asking me why we drafted a guy in the first place. It was a guy we needed and/or a guy that had certain traits making them stand out. Best of all, I feel everyone we drafted are capable of stepping onto the field this year and have a meaningful role (even Kuwatch on special teams). Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I'm not seeing any huge flags on guys because they're risky projects or massive overreaches.
