Great addition. With the way the OL is shaping up and with the defense also being strengthened even Darnold could carry this team to enough wins to see them pick outside the top 10. If they’re strengthening this much in free agency the idea of tanking to get a QB in 2023 just isn’t going to happen. It’s probably a certainty they now try and bring in another QB via a trade.

I agreed with 100% until the last line. I see this as a signal that we're drafting a QB at 6. Especially if they're going for Armstead too.

Nahh, olineman very hard to judge

1 year is excellent, what was stupid is the two year trash olineman last year

if he performs, pay him when we actually have the cash and it won’t prevent more signings

these structures/length are just as import to me and they have been excellent, I’m tired of getting stuck with trash on contracts like Paradis for example

Fitterer scared me last year.  His first signing was Sullivan, a tweener TE WR from Seattle, then he signed Erv and Elf--on day 1 of the tampering period--to multi-year contracts--when both had underperformed at other places.  This guy, however, was solid at both G for 2 years and C last year--so he should not be hard to judge.  There is film of him blocking for Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.  But either way, he will earn the next contract, and it will be more expensive.  I see your point, however.  And in my view, Erving and Elflein should have been given 1-year deals, not Bozeman, but we shall see.

This is starting to feel like the best FA period we have ever had.  My God this is amazing.

Also, Elflein, go sit your ass down somewhere.

Elflein will move to MLB or CB - he's got one of the fastest backpedals on the team.

Hmm I never really thought about it that way, but it makes sense.

I might end up reviving my old "Big Ugly" signature once the lineup is set 🤔

I'm sitting here in dismay by the two FA signings honestly.  Shocked really. Not sure if I should be optimistic that they may have figured it out or depressed that i may have missed judged the value of these two particular FA's.

    • I think i like the Oregon Safety better
    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
