They should send US a 4th for taking on the contract. Its not like they have a ton of options right now, especially with Jameis signing.

He's in the last year of his rookie deal, contract isn't an issue

The operative word here is “might”. I don’t see the Panthers having any good interest in Mayfield. I don’t think he fits McAdoo’s revamped offense and this is speculation and a probable attempt to drum up trade interest. Saints have a void at QB and may certainly be interested.

Saints got their qb now lol

*I hate his stupid ass commercials....does that count?

Yes.  That is a valid reason.

Of course you are kidding--me as well.

If you give Baker a clean pocket, he can be effective.  When he improvises, he gets stupid.  That is my take on him.

I also do not think he is a good leader.  I think his teammates do not like him.

He's on a rookie deal. I would do it for a 3rd if we swap Darnold and they take on his contract

With Jameis Winston signing with the Saints I'd say Baker's possible landing places are:

Seattle

Carolina

Houston

That's about it, unless a surprise team enters the fold like NYG or DET.

He is going to Seattle.  They are in the best position to accommodate him.

    • 2.7 seconds. If he can get the ball out in under 2.7 accurately to the medium and short routes then they can have a better offense than we saw last year.  Someone said he only had 1.5. That happened more than it should have but that was not the norm for the majority of the snaps. Maybe spending $153 million buys a little better than the weak players mostly involved in those 1.5 fails. Maybe Corbett sucks as a C but let’s at least wait a couple of outings to declare it. If he is adequate at best the OL might become an asset as the year passes. Looking at you Icky. How they help him will be a big part of how well they can operate. I think he needs a lot of help. People were beating him with quickness you have to help him. Unless he just morphs into reliable.  I do think it’s on Young to protect his tackles and himself by making shallower dropbacks. Canales looks to be taking charge of QB operating procedure and pushing it more conventional which I am for.  Question on Young, what is he really good at? Because Canales keeps saying he is going to find what Young is good at and lean into that. So whatever he does best along with handing off plenty seems like the plan. I get afraid when he throws a shallow to the sideline pass of any distance, so they’ll probably do a lot of that.
    • Did we ever get an answer on why pete bypass him for OC?
    • 2010, 2019, and 2022 are maybe top 3.
