I think Howell is going to generate some excitement his Pro Day next week.  People forget how good he was when he had some decent talent around him 2 years ago.  He still was good last year all things considered.

It's still pretty early in the draft process.

That stuff's going to be hashed out in meetings between now and draft day.

My preference for this draft.

 

1. Pick a tackle at 6 and run it back with sam and get a qb next year

2. Pick a tackle at 6, trade cmac to buff for their first and 3rd and get howell

3. Get pickett I guess, if they are dead set on a rookie qb.  But damn that just doesnt feel right with this group especially passing on Fields last year

Lot of different opinions in the room, more film to be watched and a ton of meetings to be had. I'm sure guys like Rhule and Fitterer have their own preferences right now but the team as a whole isn't ready yet to rank them, pretty standard stuff for a month before the draft. And often times teams are torn on players, this isn't an exact science. Their opinions could change many times in the next month right up until the pick is actually made.

So a rookie QB doesn't feel right but asking 52 other players to forfeit a season with Darnold does?

I have a feeling Pickett and Willis will be gone by the 6th pick. Seems like Lions might take one and someone will jump us for the other. Either take the best LT available or trade back.

I hope they like 3 equally-then trade back.  Trade back--When the undrafted QBs on your top 3 list drop to 1, move up and grab him.
