Apparently the Browns wanted this for Baker.

There are only about 5-7 teams that would sign Mayfield if he was released--nobody is giving them draft Capital for a $19m child who will seek big bucks in a year.

I think the plan is to go with a young guy for 5 years while we build the team.  In today's NFL if you have not proven your worth in 4 years, prolly need to spruce up the ole resume.

Baker would best be suited to sit behind someone next year and get the Winston/Trubisky treatment.

His problem isn't mechanical. His problem is what lies in between his ears. Just like Darnald and Winston. No amount of time or system will fix that.

    • First goal? Win the division. Everything else is gravy
    • Talking about ‘should be’ you have to give Green Bay that game. Yes we should have handled the Saints. 8 won’t say Arizona because any more in this leaguer the first two weeks are a total crap shoot and not a great indicator of your team’s future.  The shortened preseason has most teams playing catch up the first couple of weeks. IMO. I guess trading the Saints for GB puts us right where we are.
    • You want me to explain how Joe Flacco is present day still better than Bryce Young?  Well, Joe Flacco and Bryce Young both played in the NFL from 2023-present day, so just looking at that window of play….Flacco has been better at almost every aspect of how we judge QB play during that window.  Plus the eyeball test bonus.  And we got Flacco rolling with 3 different teams to give a very diverse sample.
