How dangerous is Willis as a runner? What makes him special?

He has a very strong arm but he is what you would get if Zach Wilson couldn't move at all. And behind our offensive line he is going to have to move a lot. People knock Willis and Lance for playing nobodies but Strong has basically played nobody for three seasons.

In 2019 he played one team that was ranked and it was Oregon and he went 13 of 25 for 82 yards, 0 touchdowns and 2 picks.

The rest of his three seasons he played? No games against real competition.

Don’t you dare crush @rippadonn’s dreams! He loves Strong and who are to interfere with that love?!

I agree that Hurts' running ability is a decent comp for Willis but Hurts is faster than Allen.

Not they are not. Allen at full speed is faster than both. Willis nor Hurts are that fast, they might be better runners in terms of being elusive and vision but speed no.

Your right. I do. And people seem to laugh at me for feeling that way. So I'm painting the picture why I feel that way. Do I think he's a better prospect than say Lawrence? Not close. But I think he does give you a floor as a rookie.

It's going to take some time to figure it out in the passing game. If you have a strong defense you can lean on his rushing ability to generation some easy offense and win with your defense. Rhule wants to be a rushing team anyway. It would be no different than what we did with cam when we were the leagues number 1 rushing attack and won on defense.

My biggest fear is he goes to a team that any QB we get will be receiving Urban Meyer level coaching eek.

I want a QB Willis is the best of the bunch this year IMO but this is a very down year for QB's.

His doctor and his dad told him not to play. He played hobbled, healing and put up those numbers playing for Nevada. I've been focused on his last season so I don't know how mobile he really is or isn't.

Putting the ball in the hands of running men 70% of the time has nothing to do with anything but being very accurate, very accurate playing QB two years in a row.

He's an exciting QB to watch. Zach Wilson?! I said he wouldn't make it. Carson is miles and miles better.

Carson is not miles better. You also thought Trask was the second coming of Jesus. You are just looking at a stat sheet and ignoring everything else. Carson has not played against quality competition in college football except for one game his entire three years.

Gardner Minshew completed over 70% of his passes his last year as well, carried his team and showed he could move and make people miss in college and in the pros now. 70% completions in college tells you nothing. What’s the context on these completions?

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
