Baker is a asshole he used to beat up his college girlfriend. I know this because I met her back in 2019 in Santa Monica, CA I met her and her friend Riley at The Bungalow both were drunk and high and she showed me pics of her and Baker on her cell

Morgan was her name I think she said she was a nursing student she lives in Boston now

Why does he have to be a loser to not want baker mayfield? I dont want baker and I dont even play for the team. This at best is a lateral move... HE Had god tier Offensive line and weapons with defense in cleveland and sucked.... what do you think he does here?

honestly props to robbie

he could’ve waited for the team to inevitably settle in on whichever journeyman bum they talked themselves into this offseason so as to avoid making the big swing yet again, demanded a trade after the fact and made the organization look bad in the process

or

he could actually fight for the heart and future of the team by trying to prevent it from happening to begin with

If these folks with knives out for Robby don't have the same for Sam I gotta give em' the side eye. Especially since nobody else on the team is sounding off on podcasts.

I give Anderson a lot of poop but I do feel for him having Sam follow him to Carolina and then they start talking about Baker being forced upon him. That is really bad spot. He is not wrong and got paid so lol, give'em hell lol.

In that regard, I feel for Robbie and DJ.

DJ's dealt with bad QB play for 80% of the last decade...and that's conservative. That's also wild to me. Testament to his ability.

Robbie goes a year without Darnold and puts up 1k yards. Sam comes back, Robbie goes back in the bushes.

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
