What was the most pumped you've ever been for a Panthers 1st rounder right after it happened?

Probably DeAngelo Williams. I was expecting us to draft Lendale White.

Biggest head scratcher: Vernon Butler

Great minds.

I don't know about head scratcher but my disappointment was screaming for Jones or Fields last year.

Not a single RB, I am opposed to taking them high. No matter how good they were in college.  I didn't mind DW as much because he was so late in the round.

Star, yep. Turned out to be the only one of Gman's 1sts that I really liked.

Gross.

Otah. Similar to this year, that is what we have needed for years.

TD for sure because Michael Vick had been killing us.

Pep Completely happy.

I believe in building teams front to back. TD the only big guy to make this list.

I should have been excited about Cam, but there were a lot of red flags. And there was no suspense, I knew we had him for weeks as I recall.

Kind of like Pep that way, the difference is Pep was a lineman. My favorites.

    • That argument could be used for actual trolls. “If you don’t like it find somewhere else to post” is just silly. Some of us are just letting you know, you are sounding like a broken record on these threads. It’s just some constructive criticism. You don’t have to change your ways. I doubt you will. Just wanted to make sure you were aware. Feel free to deflect and use one of those GIFs again.
    • It went from he has to jump to he has to bend his hips. That’s changing it. I showed you clips of him throwing deep without jumping which means he doesn’t always have to. I liked and like Stroud better so I’m not really a Bryce defender. Just think you don’t have to make up things when critiquing our QB like he has to jump to throw it deep. There is plenty of ammo there without those exaggerations. Oh yeah the “you don’t know ball” argument. Classic.
    • I get the rookie QB formula and fully expected to see it implemented. Oh well. For the run game there was no or very little under center stuff until a good ways into the year. At least that is how I am remembering it. And no deep throwing - so stacked boxes which you can say chicken or egg on why.  Hard to run like that.  The QB that people said was so great was pulled for a designated Hail Mary thrower. That’s pretty unusual. And may speak to why we saw few deep balls in some part, along with the OL. To ignore that stuff means you aren’t working with all of the information when you try to mentally model or project what it might be like on the field.  Me, I have a slice of hope that he could maybe be NFL average but getting him to be a plus type of QB is a huge job. It depends on designing the playbook with certain values at the foundation that have to be adhered to first . You have to integrate the other pieces around this one guy’s skill set because he is a real outlier. And he has to learn the under center skill set. Maybe put that Only Positive thread back up people can go there if they don’t want to deal with rightly frustrated fans.
