Lmao do we really have someone in here saying Corral doesn’t have an elite arm?

Kid has a rocket launcher for an arm. Can throw from all angles and off platform.

Good lord

Who???

Im refusing to feed negative energy.

6 months of crying and panthers add potential solutions to two of most valuable positions?

You negative fugs can eat a bag of dicks.

Yeah good point. I think we cater an offense to fit his strengths. McAdoo likes the WCO. So I can see a lot of quick reads/passes with a few RPOs mixed in there. I would not want him running too much either as he doesn’t have the frame of a Josh Allen or Cam Newton.

So this may get hate.. but I actually think Joe Brady could have done well with Corral. We saw what he was trying to do with Darnold but I just don’t think Darnold had the mental makeup to run Brady’s offense… I think Corral maybe could have.

McAdoo has had success developing QB’s so I hope they focus on really turning Corral into a pro style QB. He gives you a lot to work with: solid arm, great pocket awareness, very mobile, good footwork. That’s enough to work with. Up to the coaching staff to teach and Corral to learn.

What I’m concerned about is Rhule coming out in the future and saying something like… 50% our plays are going to be RPO’s now because we have Corral. I’m not sold on that working at the NFL level for Corral simply because the guys who are doing it well at the NFL level are built different.

Part of Darnold's problem was he would have a target open and wouldn't read it fast enough.  This kid has a quick trigger and I don't think we are going to have that problem.  He might have a terrible year in his first year under center but most QBs do.

Most QBs have one or two concerns about them.  Very few are perfect coming out of college.  I just believe everyone should sit back and, at minimum, watch a couple of practices or preseason games before anointing him the 2nd coming or a complete bust.

I think that is fair, very few QBs have those three's kind of arm talent, but I don't think that is the end all be all. Jay Cutler had the cannon of cannon and had a mediocre career, while Matt Ryan won and MVP and almost a super bowl with neither.

I am not trying to endorse him, but I do have hope for him and think he can plan out to something. If he doesn't, that is fine. If we are in a position next year to take a top 2 QB off the board then we will regardless I think.

I think we all have hope for him. My hope isn’t diminished by the fact that I have concerns. I hope like hell this kid succeeds. I’m tired of August through January being devoid of anything that resembles fun surrounding the game of football.

True that, I need some January drama in my life.

Yeah you can tell who has never watched Corral play. He is an excellent athlete.

Athlete. YES

Passer. YES

Clutch. YES

He doesn't show the leadership qualities to command a championship team. Easily antagonized and cocky. Not good at sitting and learning.

Personality wise (using Panthers comps) he is a cross between Steve Smith, Rae Carruth, and Greg Hardy.

Anger management issues, narcissistic, resistant to authority figures, highly competitive, dominant when winning, destructive when losing, and business/self-interest minded. He will succeed in a player led culture that allows for freedom of expression, lack of structure, and loose discipline. Bret Michaels management team and Corral's Mom control his image/PR.

He is in a relationship with Raine Michaels

Bret Michaels and David Tepper have a relationship going back to their days with the Steelers.

This is a David Tepper pick.

He will need a couple handlers early in his career.

I just hope they don’t beat around the bush. Let’s put him out there and see if there’s potential. No more wasted time on this Darnold circus.

I don't think we are going to have that problem.  I believe he is going to come in and beat Darnold for the job.  His quick decision making is going to be the difference maker.

Kinda excited to see Corral/CMC run the RPO 👀

Yeah, Corral is a Panther and its hard not get excited about his talent level.  Getting him late 3rd is amazing

People complain about his size but he measured 6’2 212 at the combine which is fine.  Praying he works as hard as advertised cuz he could be crazy exciting to watch in this offense

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
