Jimmy Clausen and Kyle Allen were both the #1 QB prospect coming into college.

* Clausen drove a white limo hummer to the college football hall of fame to announce he would be playing at Notre Dame lol.

Allen being the #1 QB entering college was a legit talking point around these parts when discussing his worth as a franchise QB.

Most likely the next 4 years.  The Manning’s are to the type to enter the draft before school is completed.

Especially considering he'll probably have to take a pay cut when he gets his rookie deal. That NIL money is going to be ridiculous for him.

No thanks.  Knowing our luck Manning will pull the daddy trick that he doesn't want to play for Carolina.

Not to sound sour but last time that was the case that didn’t really work out for Luck in the end. If you’re the #1 player you just have to accept you’re not going to a #1 situation. The whole “I’m not playing for them” thing annoys me when your a draft prospect and not a free agent.

also was reading there are much better high school QB prospect than Manning.

Anyone to want to tank for a HS QB is off their rocker.  Many, many top rated HS QBs have never sniffed professional football at any level.  While the Manning name is blue blood it doesn't mean he's a surefire NFL QB and definitely not #1.

Not sure what article you are reading but most of the information I have seen, Manning is the #1 HS QB in his class

So I am not a big high school recruiting guy but I followed this story last week.  I went to youtube and watched his highlights and could someone please tell me what I am missing here?  The bulk of his plays just looks like he either is A)one of the biggest kids on the field and steps away from pressure to sling the ball or B)Just throws it 50 yards downfield to his wideout that is faster then the corner.  Not denying he has a strong arm and isnt big and fast but the #1 overall player that people are going nuts for?  I dont get it but then again I dont really follow hs recruiting.

    • I'm not sure that in a fair QB competition that Young would beat out Jones.
    • That's why I said stats aside. I lived in CO during Allen's college career and didn't have kids at the time so I watched most of his games. Bruh, I'm telling you. Balls just spraying all over the place. The type of throws where you're honestly trying to figure out who he was even trying to throw that one too. It was crazy. Richardson was inaccurate in college but at least you could tell who he was trying to throw it too. He threw a lot of early in the game Cam Newton type balls where it seemed like he was just a little too amped up and everything was a few feet high. Richardson's misses looked like they were maybe fixable with working on his footwork, release, etc. Josh Allen's misses looked like "ain't no way you're fixin' that poo, dude has a cannon equipped with no sights". LOL Huge props to the Bills for evaluating him as fixable and indeed fixing him.
    • A lot can change over the next week, but here is my best 53-man roster (note: I'm just basing this on guys on the 90 man roster currently). Obviously there could be trades/ waiver claims/ FA signings.   Offense (25) QB (2): Bryce Young, Andy Dalton RB (3): Chuba Hubbard, Rico Dowdle, Trevor Etienne TE (4): Tommy Tremble, JT Sanders, Mitchell Evans, James Mitchell WR (7): Tetoria McMillan, Xavier Legette, Adam Theilen, Jalen Coker, Hunter Renfrow, Jimmy Horn, Brycen Tremayne  OL (9): Ikem Ekwonu, Damien Lewis, Austin Corbett, Robert Hunt, Taylor Moton, Cade Mays, Chandler Zavala, Brady Christensen, Yosh Nijman    Defense (25) DL (6): Derrick Brown, Bobby Brown, Ashawn Robinson, Tershawn Wharton, Sam Roberts, Cam Jackson OLB (5): DJ Wonnum, Pat Jones, Nic Scourton, Princely Umanmielen, Thomas Incoom  ILB (5): Trevin Wallace, Christian Rozeboom, Krys Barnes, Jon Rattigen, Claudin Cherelus S (4): Trevon Moehrig, Demani Richardson, Lathan Ransom, Nick Scott  CB (5): Jaycee Horn, Mike Jackson, Chau Smith-Wade, Corey Thornton, Shemar Bartholomew    ST (3): LS: JJ Jansen  P: Sam Martin  K: Matthew Wright    Would like to hear everyone's thoughts
