Can we officially declare TMJ a bust?

If he was on the field I missed it.

Higgins and TMJ neither got a snap.

which IMO does speak to some mismanagement going on.  Still don’t see how  you don’t give Higgins a single rep in Baker’s first game.

I guarantee Rhule thought not playing Higgins would help Baker spread the ball around or some such nonsense

Yes. He’s had plenty of time to prove himself and he hasn’t. He was never that great in college either. Feasted on getting single coverage against teams 3rd best corner since he had Chase and Jefferson as teammates and happened to have Joe Burrow passing the ball to him

We’re one game into the second season. The OC was fired in the first as a scapegoat for a line which dwindled our playbook to 25 percent of capacity because 3+ step drops are out of the question.  The guy has the physical tool kit to play any of the receiver positions and in all likelihood is being asked to learn all of them. But for recent history with Chase and Jefferson (who coincidentally likely absorbed most reps), year three is typically when WR’s make the big leap. Did a bit of a dive trying to find a decent comp  as there are plenty of third year break outs but many of the guys are of the shiftier archetype . I think TMJ’s injuries skew the targets in the first year a bit, but guys like TO, Calvin Johnson and Dwayne Boye were all bigger, athletic guys that took some time to hit their stride.

This is premature. Maybe circa week 6 we can reasonably start discussing impending doom on this guy’s career. Let’s see a comprehensible game plan before we start crucifying redshirts.

Higgins has always been a 4 at the very best.

Yeah, but Baker knows him and they have chemistry.   Seems like you would work him in a little in Bakers debut.

Baker didn’t seem comfortable early and doesn’t have much work with anyone.

Bc we didn’t need to…. We didn’t run enough offensive plays to sit DJ or Robbie. Our offense only had 45 total plays.

our longest drive was barely 5 minutes. There just wasn’t a point to sub out DJ or Robbie bc they were the best players at their position and were well rested due to the lack of play opportunities.

    • I mean the whole defense was trash, he was at least trying. Besides if you put a all-pro among 10 PSers, that all-world will look human. It's very hard to judge very bad units and find the best players among them. Horn and Mjack played well too, there was 0 pass rush and -1777784 run defense.
    • I was looking back and seen Evan Neal has made the switch to OG after awful years at OT.......I wanted him over Icky for his tricep alone..... I was 100% stroud too, I was super pissed about his record setting and playoff leading start......I had arich vastly over the midget BY too. But right now, BY is about the only one on the up&up. The Texans used lots of prime draft capital to help Stroud.  It's still not ready. But if you're honestly about past drafts, these GMs are not alone in making mistakes.  I still feel they should stayed put and allowed Carter to fall in their lap, but best I know Tepper had the worst rage about landing a QB for the past 5 years. The deal is with the correct coaching staff, Baker or darnold would still be here....Baker has signed 3 years for 100 million, which is a great NFL QB contract. Tepper hiring rhule and his shitty Baylor/temple staff was a massive setback given rhule was in control too. Then panic set in an d fitteerererererer had to make a winner and find a QB. Ugh.....I hope they are back...
    • Also maybe the biggest part is his fromer college buddy, Lord Lamar told the GM to sign him. It was done nearly right after and guess who was the first person Alexander met at ravens stadium??
