I don't think firing him in the next few games accomplishes much but the tone of that piece is extremely concerning. I hope it is not accurate.

Firing him asap would be worth it just to never have to sit through one of his BS press conferences or have the cameras zoom in on his dumbass on the sideline ever again.

I definitely agree from a fans perspective but I also understand it would largely be a net negative for the franchise. Especially when it comes to hiring the next guy.

There is no chance Rhule gets fired before Week 10 or so, regardless of our record.

Rivera got fired around Week 12 or so, right?  That is usually when teams fire head coaches, if they plan on doing it in-season.  I think Rhule stays the season and then gets fired.

My fear is that Tepper isn't capable of discerning what "improvement" looks like. I think he might be buying the smoke and mirrors BS that Rhule is selling.

I kind of feel like he’s letting his financials get situated before he focuses on football again. I think a lot of “the process” he talks about is mostly getting his sports/entertainment biz established.

losing NFL franchises still appreciate in value and make money, he doesn’t really care about winning.

Not sure I can buy that as much as I buy that he is buying the BS Rhule is spewing because Tepper really doesn't know very much about football.

I don't think that is a small thing to overlook, that he really has extremely limited football knowledge but still meddles in the football operation side of things.

    • We have a Bryce Young problem and until it's resolved it's extremely hard to judge our coaching in any significant way. Canales has made mistakes, as any coach will, but he's also called plays that with even moderately average QB play would result in positive outcomes.  Canales' biggest "mistake" is trusting Bryce at all, but then, maybe he's just ensuring he has a new QB to work with next year.  We aren't the only team where players run the wrong routes, we just are one of a couple with a bottom 30 QB.
    • I thought that too Ie trying to prove ‘look, he cant do it under the lights on the big stage’ honestly, im Not sure he is that bright  then again, how many coaches and  offenses have to  fail to prop up young before this ends  i blame both canales and young for that defensive carnage Monday night   Both of them  …and ill say too, if part of the problem is after 12 games into the season, the receivers are still too deep in their routes then either new receivers are needed Or new coaching or the routes are failures  or the qb or all 4  they have had preseason, mini camps, training camp, practice and the season their coach was a receivers coach and now the OC   and they still cant consistently complete a pass  not a good look he has business being the OC and HC he isnt McVay and he isnt Reid
    • That would’ve been even funnier and really summed up the night given it would’ve been an illegal forward pass.  Bryce is clearly throwing the ball forward to Chuba
