Pass block win rate - #9

Run block win rate - #3

Defense is ranked #5 in run stop win rate.

Discuss, or flame away.

So Rhule was correct in saying "The process is working, we just can't see it yet?" We're improving but just not getting the W's? Nah, the only stat that matters is Wins.

Also side note about PFF and why we love them one day or week and hate them the next Elflein was one of our lowest graded players against the Saints just good to take most of this with a grain of salt.

Tell me you didn't read the article, without telling me you didn't read the article.

Mayfield was sacked on 9.3% of his drop backs last year for Cleveland

Brissett is currently at 4.2%

Compare the health of both Brisset this season to Mayfield last season and then also compare the health of the CLE oline,  specifically the tackles.

Also look at Mayfield's pressure rate last year, it was around third highest last season.

Not arguing about health--I don't know what Cleveland's situation was last year.  But Mage's point is a valid one.  Sack rates tend to follow QBs around.  Just look at Joe Burrow this year thus far.  He was sacked an incredible amount last year.  And the Bengals went out and invested big time in upgrading the offensive line, similarly to how we made fixing our's a priority.  But Burrow is still getting sacked at a high rate this year.  It comes down to his style of play.  He hangs onto the ball a long time and when he bails from the pocket, he's hellbent on extending the play for as long as possible to try to find an open man downfield rather than throwing the ball away.  It all leads to high sack totals regardless of how good the offensive line is. Russell Wilson is another good example.

I'm not going to sit here and say our offensive line is necessarily top 10.  But it is vastly improved from last year, despite struggling with consistency.  So Baker is to blame for a lot of the dysfunction in the pass game, particularly with sacks.

McAdoo not knowing how to scheme the weapons we have is brutal to watch.

Man this offense is sad.

Brutal! We completely quit throwing to cmc. He was a battering ram last week. He beats linebackers on routes 100% of the time. Throwing to him early and often is a lock for 6yds a pop. He should get a minimum of 8 targets a game. We did this with Allen, we did this with Sam. Baker gets out there and CMC is either picking up blockers or running straight up the gut. Jesus, just trade the guy and start Foreman if that is our game plan. Idk, man, maybe mix a fuging screen in sometime?  What the fug are we doing?

and no poo the defenses are pinning their ears back, we run 3 fuging plays a game! There is no chance they come even close to getting gassed.

I was very hopeful about Mcadoo and am very disappointed so far.

    • I can say that I have defended Canales because I get that they are doing all they can to keep from looking like idiots for drafting Bryce, from the trade up to signing $150m guards to drafting XL and Brooks etc---nothing seems to work.  And Hiring Canales was part of the Bryce Young rehab program, so so he can't really decide to "move on."  That has to come from Morgan and Tepper. Personally, I think Bryce is due for an injury.  He is small, he is not thick, and he has been a LOT more healthy than most any other QB has who has endured so much pressure.  The thing that bothers me is this---Bryce really does not go through his progressions quickly.  He locks on to his presnap read and stays locked onto him for too long--he seems to fail to anticipate the WR/TE's positioning on the play before the cut--for example, if the WR is running a dig and the CB has his back to the inside of the field, he should be open for a second or less just after the cut.  He seems to wait until the cut has been made before deciding, then checking down quickly while moving in the pocket. OL:  There seems to be a lack of communication--is that on Mays?  Watch this team presnap--they seem a bit confused at times.   I can almost predict the success rate of the play by watching the center and QB before the snap.
    • Anyone else remember back in 2010 when Fox piloted having music under the in-game replays during one of Carolina's games? Not the commercial bumpers but the actual replay clips that the announcers would talk over. Pretty sure it was vs the 49ers. And it was terrible. Point being, Carolina continues being so bad that we get the networks trying things out during their games.
    • Is it bad I found this video more hilarious than pathetic? I am still laughing at that one play where half the people on the field ran into each other and Bryce still couldn't see Chuba wide open... Also laughing at Cade blocking nobody and somehow losing his cleat Man this offense is a poo show
