Al Holcomb says the system won’t be much different with him in charge.

He just doesn’t want to give anything away to the Rams. I think it will be much different, no defensive ends dropping into coverage

Yeah, I don’t think it will be “drastically different”.

I do expect them to up their blitz % and mix up there zone calls.  And when you do that, you have a Wilks D vs a Snow D.

Yeah, you can't expect to keep your job if you aren't changing things up.  Hopefully just coach speak and trying not to talk bad about Snow.

At the very least, I think between them Holcomb and Wilks are probably better able to analyze how to attack an NFL offense than Phil Snow was.

    • To me, this seems like they feel they aren't going to be competitive. I can't help but go back to Bryce. Good guy, but he doesn't inspire people to give it their all. He isn't a "leader" that people look to. There is no Smith, Delhomme, Kuechly, Cam, etc. coming in that door.  It has to be Bryce, but biologically speaking, how often is the shortest man in the room going to command the kind of respect that will drive people? It just isn't. That isn't how we are wired. That isn't how any living animal on Earth today is wired.  I just follow the science guys.
    • Vick's issue with Reid was that he couldn't take a hit, and he wouldn't go down. Otherwise he was pretty good much of the time.  Mahomes has a system that works. Mahomes doesn't become Mahomes elsewhere because not everyone can extract 125% of the ability of a specific player like Reid can. Kevin O'Connell is beginning to look like he has that ability as well but I'll need to see how he does with his Redshirt Freshman.  I also wonder how much of their playoff issue last year was related to the offense as a whole and not just Darnold. Fans don't really dive into the "why" things happen, they just see the what and complain about it.
