Don't blame him...Tepper was an ass.

exactly aren’t we all mad? how the actual fug do you manage to displease a fanbase grounded in mediocrity that never saw back to back winning seasons?

that takes a true level of ineptness. and I refuse to believe Tepper is that stupid to not do it on purpose, he was negligence paying attention to other dumbass poo while alienating hardcore fans - fug him.

That doesn’t tell the whole story.  Briefly just before the wheels fell off with Rivera, we were above .500 all-time.

Bad luck is all that has prevented the B2B winning seasons.  We’ve had decent success for our age.  Our expansion brothers down in Jax would like to go to a SB one day.

The second you start comparing yourselves to the Jaguars you've failed as a franchise.

So ppl criticize the media for not asking tough questions...someone does and he is wrong?

I think the question Scott asked was when exactly Tepper decided to fire Rhule.  Tepper gave an answer, Scott didn't like it so he badgered.

Its not a "tough question" and really, nobody gives a fnck.  Tepper fncked up, the Rhule experiment failed.  Tepper has pissed off a lot people, which owners do.  Scotts trying to get clicks, which the media does.  They really can both be asses.

What?

the panthers are in the bottom third of the nfl w/l since inception

also the franchise that resembles the panthers closest in all major categories is…

the jets.

next?

the jaguars.

They lost their champ game(s), the panthers won theirs only to lose the super bowl (s).

is that single game what your referring to as to how we are so much better?

lol

How many die hard nfl fan friends outside of Panther friends do you have? I have about 25 I watch and hang with on the west coast. No one knows who the panthers are outside of cam.

decent success for our age, nah man…the facts and stats are there, the Carolina panthers are below average and can only point to a few teams as worse since inception

Fowler’s a little bitch. The contentiousness in the interview happened when Fowler was trolling by asking if Tepper just rolled out of bed that morning and decided to fire Rhule, knowing gd well this wasn’t a spur of the moment decision. It was a long time coming and Fowler is known to be a troll anyway. Tepper has fuged up plenty, but this wasn’t one of the times.

    • Brandt's comment about Wharton was from his KC perspective when Wharton was a UDFA rookie.   "it goes back to the anecdote that Brandt Tillis had when he was in Kansas City. And it would be so easy to just cut Turk Wharton in 2020 when he was an undrafted rookie from a division two college in Missouri. It would been so easy to cut him because then he would have cleared waivers easily. No one knew this guy. They didn't have any joint practices, didn't have a preseason. Would have been so easy to cut him and bring him back on the practice squad and let him continue to build from there. And Brandt essentially said, "No, he's got to make the 53man roster if we're going to have any sort sense of credibility with this team."
    • Plenty of us were scratching our heads about that signing at the time. Especially with our 3-4 defense. Wharton is kind of a one trick pony situational five tech DT. He doesn't have the beef to hold up against the run and he doesn't have the juice to shift outside. He's basically a situational pass rusher DT. If we paid him $40M+ and he can't start for a historically inept defense then holy poo...
    • Agreed.  300 and 2 or 3 total in Jacksonville in a winning effort would sure be a nice start.
