Devil’s advocate here, but I do find it funny that now I’m seeing a lot of fans blame WRs, the OC and the QB now that Rhule is gone.. I’m by no means a Rhule fan or apologists, but when Rhule was here everyone solely blamed him and him alone but now that Wilks is out there, it’s suddenly the players and OC faults 🤔🤔

It’s still Rhules fault. Rhules QBs, Rhules staff on the sideline for the most part.  Lingering lack of morale.  Rhules stench is still all over the team.

He just became the HC of a staff he didn’t hire and had one week to prepare his team to travel across the country with a 4th string QB, no Luvu, no Horn, and no Chinn and take on the Rams.
Give the man a few weeks at least to try to right this sinking ship… I doubt he is the answer, but let’s give him some sort of chance before writing him off.

Yeah, we were down some [players], so were the Rams. Injuries happen to every team. The Rams were down several offensive linemen and lost another during the game. One of their RBs was told to stay home.

4th string QB, best LB, best CB, and Chinn who is a captain. Now add the fact we traveled across the country and he just became the HC not even a week ago. We will have time to access him, people are just being a little premature which is par for the course.

Why do you think an interim coach is going to right the ship?

Wilks "ain't " what, exactly? What in theee hell are you weirdos expecting? This team is bad. The culture is bad. The qb room is a damn disaster and has been for 3+years, but you all are bitching about an ostensibly lame duck coach.

I think a lot of the reaction today is based on the fact that it was the same thing. Played good in first half, enough to give us hope there is improvement, just to see the same old second half meltdown. If Panthers could put together 4 WHOLE quarters of football, even if they had lost by a field goal today, there wouldn't have been such a knee-jerk reaction. You're absolutely correct... there is a drastic lack of talent and identity with this team! It needs REAL leadership ON the field and in the locker room. Most of all, they need a QB that can at the very least manage a football game.

I’m certainly not going to pass judgment on Wills after one game, but a lot of the time when a HC gets fired and an assistant is put in his place, players go hard and try to play for him. That certainly didn’t happen today, and in his first game he had to separate a player from a coach while screaming at both and send the player home mid-game. That’s not a good sign but poo happens.

Yep! And that player just so happen to be Rhules biggest fan on the team. A lot of frustration right now, but, it's going to take Wilks a few games IF he can get these guys to come together... it's a monumental task at this point without a true QB and an OC with no creativity. Good luck is all I can say, it's a freaking mess on Mint!

I agree.   Hopefully we'll start passing downfield, maybe get some O going.

He sucks ass as a HC. No one could say why he was good besides pointless platitudes like "he's a leader of men" or "he embodies keep pounding". Weirdest huddle crush I have seen in my time posting here.

P.J. Walker, Shi Smith..

A Panthers team with even and average offense would've won this game. That's the best defensive performance despite an abysmal offense I've seen this year.

You hold the Rams to 24 points, score a touchdown, all while your offense only has 150 yards?

Come on man.

Moore? He's angling his own way out of here if he doesn't get his head on straight but I don't see him having a mental breakdown on the sideline for all the world to see. Ben McAdoo is horrific though and this cannot be understated. We only hired him because we were scared to fire Rhule when we had the chance and he's the only one who was willing to take the job after we made Brady the sacrificial lamb.

Funny thing is Matt Moore would be a dramatic upgrade over our QBs

That man somehow ended up in the league for 13 years and got him a ring with the Chiefs lol....life crazy

    • I can say that I have defended Canales because I get that they are doing all they can to keep from looking like idiots for drafting Bryce, from the trade up to signing $150m guards to drafting XL and Brooks etc---nothing seems to work.  And Hiring Canales was part of the Bryce Young rehab program, so so he can't really decide to "move on."  That has to come from Morgan and Tepper. Personally, I think Bryce is due for an injury.  He is small, he is not thick, and he has been a LOT more healthy than most any other QB has who has endured so much pressure.  The thing that bothers me is this---Bryce really does not go through his progressions quickly.  He locks on to his presnap read and stays locked onto him for too long--he seems to fail to anticipate the WR/TE's positioning on the play before the cut--for example, if the WR is running a dig and the CB has his back to the inside of the field, he should be open for a second or less just after the cut.  He seems to wait until the cut has been made before deciding, then checking down quickly while moving in the pocket. OL:  There seems to be a lack of communication--is that on Mays?  Watch this team presnap--they seem a bit confused at times.   I can almost predict the success rate of the play by watching the center and QB before the snap.
    • Anyone else remember back in 2010 when Fox piloted having music under the in-game replays during one of Carolina's games? Not the commercial bumpers but the actual replay clips that the announcers would talk over. Pretty sure it was vs the 49ers. And it was terrible. Point being, Carolina continues being so bad that we get the networks trying things out during their games.
    • Is it bad I found this video more hilarious than pathetic? I am still laughing at that one play where half the people on the field ran into each other and Bryce still couldn't see Chuba wide open... Also laughing at Cade blocking nobody and somehow losing his cleat Man this offense is a poo show
