The Broncos won with pass rushers and a fanboy head referee.

We can get the DEs. Tepper needs to come out of his pockets for the refs.

They won and haven’t been back to the playoffs since. Getting an elite QB is the most important thing in sustained success. A good coach is obviously important as well.

It's so hard to tell these days.  I have my concerns about Young but I have to say the skill level and the ability to read a defense and make all the throws trumps size.  I would not be crying if we drafted him.

I was 4'11 as a Junior in high school and grew 13 inches in 21 months.  When I graduated I was 6 foot and grew another inch.  Looking at the picture of Young at the ESPY he looks like a kid.  I would believe he's got another inch or to in him.   He'll definitely gain some weight.

I also believe by the end of the year Hooker is going to be in the top 5 QB talk.  He's smart and very athletic.

I don't know much about Levis so I will be watching Kentucky this weekend to get a better opinion of him.

Stroud, is another QB I need to watch more of but some of his highlights concern me.  He can make all the throws but it just seems to me they float more than zip.  But like I said I need to watch more of him.

How so? I’m listening. Your statement is the exact same thing I heard for months leading up to the 2019 draft and it turned out to be completely inaccurate.

Because Murray isn't that great. I wouldn't want him myself but that's just me.  He's obviously head and shoulders better than anyone we've fielded since Cam but I just don't think he will ever help a team get to a SB.

Just read this article on Yahoo about Bryce Young: https://sports.yahoo.com/bryce-youngs-nfl-draft-prospects-are-dogged-by-questions-about-his-size-and-thats-about-it-173848416.html

It's about something I think is going to be a major question for us this off-season: Young's size.

Young is pretty clearly the most NFL-ready QB in this draft. If he were a few inches taller and a few pounds heavier I think he'd be the slam-dunk #1 pick.

Which begs the question: just how important are those few inches and pounds? Enough to bypass Young in favor of a Will Levis or C.J. Stroud?

I'm starting to think the answer may be no.

If Young was 6’4” 230 he’s be being talked about as the next true generational QB prospect. He’s that talented. The more I see of him the more I like.  He’s like the Steph Curry of QBs. Dude is money.

I will go ahead and say I don’t even care about Young’s size.  The guy played hurt last week and took some vicious shots.  All he did next was put on a QB display that was jaw dropping.  He is the guy IMO

I feel people get so enamored or specific about QB’s size/weight/speed and don’t look to see if he has that “it” factor. Young has that and I’ll be over the moon if we draft him.

CJ Stroud has all the measurables physically, but looks robotic out there to me. Young makes it look easy. I’m not a QB guru, but I’d put my stock in Young all day.

That’s fine and a valid concern, but not my argument. Imo BY is a much better prospect out of college than Kyler. The arm talent, decision making, and knowledge of when to use legs (vs Kyler relying too much) creates an elite skill set.

I just think it’s an extremely lazy argument to dismiss it as “he will never make it in the NFL cause his size”. Is it a risk factor to consider? Yes of course. But that other clown who is just saying off the wall poo and making up fake heights and weights to look smart? Nah that’s absurd.

    • When we have everyone playing like they should, we can win the Cup. That has been the biggest problem when we get to the playoffs, but this year seems to be fixed mostly. We could have had multiple if we had done this in the past.
    • Here we go Bryce Stan’s you should love this. Hell it may be one of you.  It has every cliche excuse and then some.  Unintentionally hilarious my limit was reached when he said Bryce had it hard because four play callers.
    • Luke goes in to the specifics of what he looked to accomplish in joint practices.  Basically they may work with someone on the opposing team to stress something they feel is a weakness in their own game in a different way that can be done with someone they are familiar with. That they can have predetermined stresses but since neither wants to get injured and it has absolutely no bearing on anything there is not the level of concern that would be in a preseason game.  He would also even chat with opposing OC.   It seems like an interesting nuance among the vets and savy pros.
