Finished one game off 0-17, didn't I? Predicted in November 2020 that Rhule would end up as one of the worst coaches in NFL history. Might wanna keep up with the predictions.

You were ranting and raving that Matt rhule wouldn’t be fire for SEVERAL more seasons and then he got fired like the next day.

Everyone isn't the same and can't be viewed the same.

Icky and DJ for example.  They don't compare.  Horn and DJ don't either.

and DJ isn't a rah rah guy.  He isn't a leader.  He is a dude that will go out and play WR at a pretty high level pending you can get him involved.  He isn't bringing much more to the table than that.  He will be going into year 6 next year and we are going to be trying to put together building blocks.

I've always been a big DJ Moore fan.  I don't think he fits where we are going forward.  Contract probably keeps him though.  That's how I go about things.  I have never had an issue with parting with players.  That's the nature of the game.   I got to the point where I didn't think 89 fit.  People of course raged over that.  I somehow was an 89 hater despite him being one of my all time favorite players on the field.  He was gone pretty soon after I started to believe that.   Because he didn't fit at a certain point.  Has nothing to do with wanting a good WR or not.

Smith was old. Moore is 25. Smith had a bad attitude. Moore doesn't. Aside from their ability to stretch the field and be explosive when given even a third-string-tier QB, they have nothing in common. The obsession with trading every good player has and forever will backfire epically.

Agree with you on the aspect of parting with players is the nature of the game.  I'd guess i'd aruge that he could be a big safety valve for our rookie QB.  He's always been very level headed regardless of whats happening with him on the field and even if hes not the long term answer I think with his contract as it is, the fact that giving a young QB targets is important, and him only being 25 there is definitely a pretty important role on this team for him.  But if someone wants to pay up for him and take his contract on then so be it.

Sure whatever you want to believe.  Guy will be the highest paid edge in the league if he hits free agency.

Definitely let him go. He doesn't make big plays in big situations.

Doesn't finish sacks

Gets abused vs the run.

He's Mike Rucker.

15 sacks minimum is a franchise edge.

You mean with an actual Oline and legit QB he's able too?

You don't phucking say?

If Eckler was here today he'd look like a slightly better Chubba.

It's a different story when the entire D knows you are the only thing there is on O

I wonder what type of numbers Eckler would average per game (and how many games the team would win overall) if he played behind that atrocious line Carolina had last year with a wounded Cam, Teddy Bridgewater, Sam Darnold, or Baker Mayfield running Joe Brady and Bob McAdoo offense schemes instead of Justin Herbert.

I'm not surprised with some of the reaction we've had on this board.  Mostly childish ranting and raving because we traded away their man-crush player.  CMC was a great player and may very well push SF over the top but to get the value we did was a good move.

Don't be surprised if SF unloads Debo Samuel.  He wanted a trade before the season and it's possible that they move him and put CMC in his place.  Remember Samuel did not want to be a duel threat, he wanted to be more of a WR.

While I think this is a good move for SF, it could backfire.  CMC, as we all know, hasn't played a full season since 2019.  If CMC, Jimmy G or anyone of their players go down for a significant time their SB dream could crash on them.  They are 3-3 and in the middle of the pack right now.

Many great players have come out of the 2nd and 3rd round.  I think we need to calm down and start watching plays that might fall to us in the draft.  Our new head coach and Fitterer will be going in the draft with the top pick and 2 2nd round picks.  That's almost a guarantee for 3 starters.   We'll have replaced one starter with 3.  NOT BAD

    • This seemed to be what the Teppers wanted, as Stroud hit the ground running and the Texans became his team almost day one. I hope Bryce's play starts to speak for itself if he isn't very vocal, because it does make a difference. I mean, Cam had to jack up Josh Norman who was a fifth round pick in the coach's doghouse in year five! I wonder what Bryce would do in a situation like that. Thank goodness there was no Steve Smith here when he was drafted!
