So you want this team to be mediocre forever? Ya think a new HC is gonna want to come into a team with no QB and a mid round pick? I sure as hell know I wouldn't.

we are not getting a mid round pick lol. we will be top 5 10000% but most likely top 3

It's going to be a fun week on here with a bunch of goons talking about Corral or PJ, and our new found run game, and how DJ is the best WR in the game and now we maybe might just sneak in the Playoffs lolololol

This division is so horrific it's not out of the question we could. But sneaking into the playoffs by winning a horrific division with 6 or 7 wins would truly be our worst case scenario for the future. Probably means Wilks gets the job and we have no poo at a QB in the draft. Doomed to mediocrity at best for another three years or so.

Clearly we are great at that.

Haha. True.

But that just argues for building a great defense, stout line, and good skill position players, so that the QB isn't drafted year 1 and expected to turn a team around year 1.

Oh, and yeah, get a non-college coach.

We’re about to win and hear non stop from Randall’s and Justin’s of the world from Gastonia and Shelby about how we shouldn’t tank and just fight

just to enter the draft with the 8th pick and miss out on a franchise QB when it’s been proven that you can’t win without a proven QB

(AP) — It had been a while since the Carolina Hurricanes had finished practice, with players coming and going from the locker room. Yet Logan Stankoven was still on the ice, leaving a crowd of reporters patiently waiting at his locker. Such is the dynamic for the 23-year-old as the Eastern Conference's top seed heads into Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs to face the Philadelphia Flyers. Stankoven has been rolling at nearly a point-per-game pace going back to mid-March, including scoring in every game of Carolina's first-round sweep of Ottawa. Beyond the immediacy of that spotlight, though, is the other piece of Stankoven's story: the Hurricanes are betting he can keep growing into the role as second-line center, coming after spending multiple seasons searching for an answer there.
