This: "As Tepper considers all of his options for the GM and head coach spots in the next few weeks and months, he shouldn’t completely dismiss the growth that has happened since mid-October. Whether that means that Fitterer and/or Wilks are retained is another story, but at least Tepper knows the team has some legitimate talent to move forward with if he decides to go in a different direction or retain his two top decision-makers."

Propaganda-ish.

Kaye is about as far away from a propaganda type person as anyone I've seen.

Hell, he's been more than willing to call out negatives regarding both the team and its ownership. It's refreshing to see.

He and Ellis Williams are as good a coverage team as The Observer has had on staff.

So the interim HC who is trying to stay in the NFL is using the guys the very bad HC brought in and wouldn't use and any of this is surprising? Didn't Saturday win his first game coaching at any level in the NFL?

Wilks deserves his due for the good he has done but he is also showing why he shouldn't be considered for the long term job. Friterer is a whole other conversation and no one is sure if it is even worth having until Tepper shows he is at least intends to interview GM candidates. I noticed there was no mention of the Sam trade by Friterer lol.

Fluff peice at best and very propagandish.

I would give that distinction to back-in-the-day Gantt (even though he arguably went too far to be negative). Even Gantt now still tells it like it is working for the team. I never got a vibe that he was trying to sell an idea. Here, I get that vibe. That being said, that doesn't make Kaye or Williams bad reporters.

    • Former league executive and current NFL.com analyst Marc Ross recently named his top second-year breakout candidates for the upcoming campaign. Ross includes Legette, who may be helped out by his team's latest first-round selection. He writes: Legette had a slow start to his NFL career, catching 49 passes for 497 yards and four touchdowns last season. Some of the struggles can be tied to his own growing pains -- he had eight drops on 81 targets, according to Pro Football Focus -- but he had also had to navigate the quarterback shuffle between Bryce Young and Andy Dalton early in Dave Canales' first season leading the Panthers. Canales recently said he believes Carolina has a DK Metcalf-like talent in Legette, who had foot surgery this offseason but was cleared to resume work in early April, and that having a full offseason alongside Young, who took a significant step forward in 2024, could lead to a breakout result in 2025. I anticipate it will also help that Carolina invested another first-round pick in a wide receiver, Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan, to complement Legette in the pass game. McMillan's presence, however, could take some pressure off Legette—who may be able to roam around in a more natural playmaking role. With the 6-foot-4 All-American likely to take on the bulk of the volume from Young, Legette should have some cleaner shots to break out downfield and in the box score.     https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/06/panthers-wr-xaiver-legette-top-breakout-candidates-2025/83475176007/?taid=681a4610ede05d000149b376&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter
    • my understanding is a big time throw, could be a 5-10 yard slant to Adam Thielen given AT isn't going to separate.
