You may have hit on something. It would be great to see the Panthers have a hurry up type game plan installed for him Sunday.

Darnold's football IQ is too poor from everything we've seen to ask him to run a hurry-up/no-huddle offense

I would’ve been curious to see Sam behind a competent OL but Sam seemed to be worse last season whenever he had more time

More time equals more time to think which for Sam does not lead to good things

Which in turn does lead to good things for the Panthers. This is an important game for us to lose, along with the Steelers game. Lions should beat us.

The funny thing will be your head exploding if he goes off Sunday

I'd love to get revenge on the Broncos so not sure what you're insinuating. I could see him playing okay as much as I could see him throwing multiple picks. It's what he does. Only crazy folks believed he would become a franchise quarterback here. But of course you fit the bill there with your constant worship of a running back that no longer plays for our team.

Panthers coach Steve Wilks named Sam Darnold starting quarterback for Week 12 against the Broncos.

Wilks delivered the news personally to the Panthers quarterback room on Tuesday. This could be a one-week thing with a quick hook for P.J. Walker's return, or Darnold could take the opportunity and run with it. Denver's defense is not an easy matchup, so it's hard to see Darnold balling out. But we would have said the same thing about Walker before he beat the Buccaneers earlier this season. This probably is a good move for D.J. Moore's fantasy status as Baker Mayfield never seemed to be on the same page with Moore

Lol still not sure how that motivates him to play better though.  Darnold got benched here for a broken Cam Newton, couldn't beat out trash Baker Mayfield, and will probably get benched again for PJ Walker.

Hell if anything Darnold got even worse leaving the Jets.  So really he has no reason to be paying attention to Wilson/Jets.  And I doubt he is anyway, it has no relevance to him.

I dont agree that he will be motivated by NYJ.. I was just interpeting the tweet. Personally, I dont think Sam Darnold gives a fug whats happening in NY. If anyting he is more motivated to audition for his next job this sunday or win a game for his team.

    • Oh I was.  But we still had great players.
    • You keep AT unless he WANTS to get traded to a contender during the season.  He's valuable, TET, XL, and Coker need to learn how to be PROFESSIONALS on game day, practice, and the off-season.  That's what you get from AT.  ADDITIONALLY, he is clutch.  He is steady.  At is that savvy vet who will always flash. I really think they keep 7 WR's if Brycen can operate on special teams.  Week 1 you may see us heavy on WR and OL because of the massive amount of injuries across the league.  Renfrow may even be cool starting on the PS since he lives close and wouldn't need to uproot his family.  You can still make nearly 400K as a vested veteran on an NFL practice squad.  You see more veterans hanging around since the age limit was lifted. I think the 1st 53 and PS looks like so...... Offense: (25) QB (2) Young / Dalton RB (3) Chuba/Rico/Etienee WR (7) T-Mac/XL/AT/Coaker/Renfrow/JHjr/Brycen TE (3) Tremble/Sanders/Evans OL (10) Icky/Lewis/Corbett/Hunt/Moten/Brady/Mayes/Yosh/Zavala/Kingston Defense: (25) DL: (6) Brown/Robinson/Turk/Bobby B/Cam Jackson/Sam Roberts OLB: (5) Wonnom/PJ2/NicSic/Princely/Incoon ILB: (5) Rozeboom/TW/Windmon/Cherelus/Bam CB: (5) Horn/MJ/CSW/Thorton/Evans S: (4) Tre'Mo/Ransom/Demani/Scott Specialists: (3) JJ/Fitz/Martin Last spot: Right now I have it as a toss up between DJ Johnson and Bam.  Until NicSic can come back we need an extra edge.  Do we utilize TW more as a blitzer from the middle to keep Bam safe?  I'm not worried about DJJ getting picked up from another team, a little more concerned with Bam. Practice Squad: DavidMoore/JamesMitchell/JacolbyGeorge/Tuttle/Crumdley/Ray/DJJohnson/Kantra/Carter/Blacksheer/ Wright/KrysBarnes/MichaelReid/Safety pick up/RB pick up/QB pick up
