A little update...

Wilson had characterized the exchange as Purcell saying something like "let's go". Apparently that wasn't true.

And seriously, what kind of goofball says this sort of thing at a time like that anyway?

Dude's ego is off the charts.

this cant be real.... did Hackett really say that to the media?

I don’t think so…

The source is a guy who's with NBC Sports College and Fantasy football coverage who's followed by Jordan Schultz and our own Mike Kaye, so he at least seems legit.

There's also this...

The video with NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo talks about Wilson having lost some of his teammates, and references "antics" that were happening in Seattle that Denver knew about but accepted.

Considering what the media teams actually let him release I can't imagine what comes straight out of his mouth in the locker room and on the field

I'll just have to disagree.  Russell Wilson looks like he carries himself with class and morals and people hate him for it. His teammates said he wasn't "black enough" and those are the people that are swaying your opinion of him.

What teammate complained about him not being "black enough"? Pretty sure most guys want their QB to be good at being quarterback so they can all get paid

    • It shows how short the actual span of a NFL career actually is.  We get caught up with the few guys that play until 40-years old, but that's an extraordinary tiny fraction of the League.  What you may or may not have intentionally done there is show how we quickly move off guys like that but are stubbornly hanging onto Bryce.  His new running mate, Kenny Pickett, drafted just one year earlier is already on his 4th or 5th team.  Kenny isn't horrible, but he's not good enough to be a franchise QB.  Some franchises get it, chalk it up as a miss and move on.  Others double down on trying to make things work until the relationship completely deteriorates. *cough* Dolphins and Cardinals *cough*
    • Winner of 7 vs 8 seed game gets 7th seed. Loser of that game plays against winner of 9 vs 10 seed game. Winner of that game (loser of 7 vs 8 against winner of 9 vs 10) gets 8th seed. So in reality if you make it to the 7 vs 8 game, it’s win and in for your team. Lose that game and you get another shot at getting in. If you have to play the 9 vs 10 game, lose once you are gone. Win the first game as a 9 vs 10 competitor and you still have to win again to get in.
    • DJ Chark, Hayden Hurst, and Bradley Bozeman all started for the Carolina Panthers during Bryce Young’s rookie season. All 3 have announced retirement after two years.  Scott Fitterer was that bad.   And his #1 receiver Thielen also just retired
