Honestly, so far I agree. Though I rather him have Carte Blanche over the coaching staff. I’m not sold on McDoodle.

If we can find a more dynamic OC and Offensive Coaches (sans Campen), I think Wilks could work here. I do wonder how Reich would look as a HC, but agreed about the "unknown" with guys like Steichen/Johnson/Ryans.

if steve wilks is the the head coach of this franchise week 1 next year, the damage that it will cause this franchise will set it back 5 years minimum. not even david tepper is that stupid.

The only problem I have with it is the idea of trying to find an offensive coordinator and quarterback to make it work.

Defensive head coaches do well to right teams and keep them competitive. The only problem is you're usually left with a team that changes the offense every couple years from coach movement. That's difficult to deal with when you're going to be shaky at quarterback. If you have a great quarterback, obviously it doesn't matter as much, and you can make it work with just about anyone calling the plays. In other words, the Rivera era.

This however feels like the recipe for the legendary 7-9 Rams.

only in charlotte would you ever have someone with a platform advocating for ex missouri defensive coordinator steve "6-17" wilks as a head coach of their local professional football team. its beyond laughable at this point.
