Absolutely zero chance Wilks is retained if the Steelers blow out the Panthers at home.

You’re completely wrong.

The defense looks like poo! Like I said in the game day thread, playimg tje same exact dog poo defense that didnt really work in the first half in the second half is not indicative of good coaching. You HAVE to make adjustments when you're getting run the jell over and allowing a man to sit in the pockets of a soft zone and catch balls at will. The inability to make adjustments is average to bad.

Both teams have duds for QBs but one was just better coached today and it shows.

Wilks was in school last year so he has more than proved he is an NFL coach. He is going to get a job regardless now and I hope he takes one in a new coaching tree.

He would be better served taking a DC position because his Defense sucks.

He definitely deserves work in the NFL but he’s probably just best cut out to be a secondary coach.

Yup and do it where he can watch a competent offense operate.

Worst case. As a DC I don't know if he could build an impressive enough staff but if he could then I wouldn't hate it.

    • https://x.com/4thand1show/status/1975274357174784272?s=46   saw this this morning and came to post something similar. I didn’t just love the team or the wins, I loved those dudes man. They put everything they had out there every Sunday. You didn’t see a rep where anybody on that field was low effort in that era, and if you did they were quickly sent packing.
    • …is Brycen Tremayne with 108 yards. Not sure what that tells us but I imagine it’s some sort of gumbo consisting of the following: - Bryce can’t push the ball downfield  - contrary to what many were saying this offseason, the wr still needs a lot of work.  - we need Coker back badly.  - Brycen is pretty good! Congrats to that young man! Curious to hear other’s read on it. Was a pretty surprised to see he had more yards than anyone other than Tet and thought that was symptomatic of our issues on offense.
    • I don’t think many fans would have guessed the Chiefs and Ravens would be where they are right now. Same goes for some surprise packages like the Colts, I’m not sure many would have put money on them being top of their division after five weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if this continues!   Not necessarily. The Chargers have lost both starting OL and their 1st and 2nd choice RBs. They fell apart against Washington. The Broncos have just beat the Eagles, so they’d be my favourite in that division, but they are still only one win ahead of the Chiefs. All the Chiefs need is a couple of results to go their way and they’ll be right in the fight for the AFC East. I think that division is going to be very close and probably not a 12 or 13 win division like predicted. Unless of course the Broncos kick on.
