this team is a total fugging enigma. 21yds rushing vs the stillers, and now 200 in the first half filled with long, sustained drives vs the lions. wtf?

Right, where the hell was this last week? Either the steelers have the best DLine of all time, or the oline had their pride questioned and are playing to prove a point today.

I said it last Sunday, but honestly, that Steelers game was our typical "just won a big game so we are just gonna show up" follow-up game.  We just came off that Seahawks game and thought the Steelers were just gonna roll over and give it to us.  It was all mental.

The Lions' D is parting like the Red Sea and when they have the opportunity to make a hit they're pulling up and shying away from contact. The offense was clearly challenged by the staff to man up after that Steelers game and they have, but their efforts are being GREATLY helped by an absolutely putrid display of effort and toughness from the Lions'D. This is about as pathetic of a defensive performance as I've ever seen at the NFL level. This is worse than us vs. the Bengals earlier this season. They're just getting pushed around like blocking sleds.

Just told my wife that they are bipolar.

that’s what bad teams are. Inconsistent

Like I said earlier

win this game

lose to saints

that way trifecta of losing draft position and division run and keeping Wilks

that said, a home playoff game would be awesome. Gotta won this one first

two halves in every game

Oh my God we need Andre Roberts. What the fug Shi?????????? Dman bro is frustrating. If you were gonna pick it up, pick it the fug up at the 20 or let it fuging go. Nope, gonna wait til like the 13 and let them get a head start to tee off because now they see you're clearly thinking about picking it up. Smh...

    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
    • According to Scott Fowler, in an article about former Panthers announcer applying for a job with the Ravens... what that job pays, incidentally, when the Ravens posted it publicly they said the salary would be $4,000 to $5,000 per game. An NFL season consists of 20-24 games, including the preseason and potential playoff games, so it will end up somewhere between $80,000 and $120,000 a year. The person hired will be an independent contractor, which is commonplace in the NFL these days for team broadcasters, and also have other radio and TV hosting assignments.  https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article315839800.html
