Carr doesnt really move us into a playoff contender more than Darnold or a rookie would. We'd still have the same limitations on offense.

Damn, a month of solid play from Darnold and suddenly he's being spoken about in the same breath as a 3-time Pro Bowler.

Way to go, Sammy boy!

Not after quitting on his team. Phuck him

What the hell are you talking about? He got benched because they want to draft his replacement and are concerned he could win these last couple games. If you listened to any of his press conferences this year you would know he isn’t a quitter. He was in tears during their losing streak. I don’t want him on our roster, but the man has a lot of heart.

lol right? It’s very similar to the Kyle Allen hype we had. Right now Carr is a solid starter in the league and Sam is maybe a solid backup/bridge QB. Maybe Sam can continue his turn around, but Carr has already proven himself.

If you go home and leave the building because you got benched that's quitting.

He has left the team.

Lol. He didn't quit. They yanked him because if he got injured in the last two games his entire 2023 salary and part of his 2024 salary become fully guaranteed.

This is a purely financial move because they are going to cut him.

That salary isn't tradeable and even if it was, it has a no-trade clause so he gets to pick where he goes.

Carr is on the same level as kirk cousins in that yes, he's a good QB but he's not elite. I think he'll end up going to the Jets where they will offer him a long-term starting gig as here, he would be only considered a bridge QB as we are dead set from Owner to front office to fanbase on drafting a QB in the 1st this year.

Did you see my post?

He's not in the building. Not at meetings, practice or lifting sessions. He's cleaned out his locker.

At any job in the world if you go home after a demotion and don't return to work that's quitting.

    • Well, they're both in the same league (if you will). During preseason, Fitz went 3/3 & Sauls went 5/6, but of course Sauls was 4/4 last night (including one 50+). Both were Lou Groza Award finalists. I believe Fitz made two 55+ yarders last season, while Sauls led the nation with three. Fitz was 13/13 (💯) while Sauls was 21/24 (87.5). Fitz was a 3rd-Team AP All-American, while Sauls was a PFF All-American.  Career-wise, Fitz was 58/74 (78.4), while Sauls was 52/64 (81.3). I wish that I could see the attempts and knew the depth of yardage. I wish that we could compare practice kicks during their training camps, but we can't. Maybe someone with a PFF/CFF account can give that Basically it's just a matter of belief I guess. Seeing dude knock down four FGs and go perfect during a pressure-filled game for him is damned impressive if you ask me. I don't believe that Fitzgerald could do that.  That being said, I'd have to know more. I will say that it may be worth mentioning that we seem to like PFF this year and Sauls being a PFF All-American may be notable. Now that being said, the Panthers may not be even considering Sauls.
    • Ive said it 1000x times on here.  Our 2025 season will be dictated by the first 4 games.  poo the bed there and lose all confidence and momentum, we win 5 games maybe.  Go 2-2, 3-1 we got a look at 7/8 wins
    • I basically made almost the exact predictions on a phone call with a buddy about 3 weeks ago. I really do expect Evero gone before the seasons end, Young to just not able to get over the hump enough and DC to head into next season on a VERY hot seat.
