Bye Bye Wilks

I get it, but this game came down to noo pass rush and no coverage on Evans.

Tom Brady had time to read a book in the backfield on most plays because pressure was almost non existent, while Sam Darnold had one or two players in his face all day.

If we have Horn and Deonte the Panthers win, plain and simple. You can’t always make lemonade out of lemons. Not saying Wilks should get the job but not many coaches are beating Brady with the corners we started.

How many coaches continue to leave their CB on an island against Evans when he's already gone for 2 TDs?

He's meant to be a defensive coach - a secondary coach no less. Make a fuging adjustment.

Fire fat fitt while you are at it.  You trade cmac.   You trade for Henderson and you don’t trade burns.   You are one dumb motherfuger

To be fair, trading CMC was the smartest thing he’s done since he’s been here. The haul we got for him allows us to even have a chance in this draft to move around.

This was an unbelievably GUTLESS call by Wilks.

4th and a foot and you punt when you have a freight train like Foreman who can crash in there and move the pile OR even Sam who is pretty good at QB Sneaking for a yard.

This is the moment where Wilks lost any shot of being the Head Coach of this team.

Completely agree. This is where the resemblance between him and ‘Ole Ron showed itself. That conservative poo doesn’t get you anything but .500 year after year.

We had 8 QB hits and 3 sacks. That’s not terrible. The problem was our secondary was banged up.

Wilks has earned criticism and we should undoubtedly exhaust all options in our coaching search but some of you are delusional and not consistent with your expectations for both sides of the ball. The Bucs are a talented team they are going to get on the board sooner or later. You guys that think we are going to the playoffs holding talented teams to 14 or 17 points are just nuts. Our offense has to start putting up 30 points and more.

I said Wilks would have to win the division to get the HC job and even then I really didn't like the idea.

Today he showed exactly why I don't want him as HC as much as I like him and the players respect him.

4th and inches, 4th and short.....you got to have faith and go for those at midfield.  This game was all about keeping the ball from Brady because you know your secondary is very, very weak.  Instead I think we threw the ball too much and we didn't go for it when we needed to.  Simple as that.  I also think we should have gone for a touchdown instead of the field goal at the end.  Would have made a difference?  Not sure, but you score that touchdown first.

I hope Wilks sticks around, maybe as DC - but I even question that as the D hasn't been as good in the 2nd half of the season.  Maybe Asst. Head with secondary responsibility?

WTF is wrong with this group? I thought we said Darnold and Wilks were our  answer last week?  All of a sudden they aren’t? This fan base is poo!

Well Sam did alright (for the most part anyway).

It was Wilks who failed to make the proper adjustments in-game that were needed.

Like putting a safety over the top on Evans who just burned them TWICE for a TD.

When I saw they were not going for it, I knew we weren't going to win.

I mean...these games ARE the Panthers Playoffs here.

Win or Go home, so to speak.

They seemed to have forgotten that and now...They're going to be home after next week.

It should've been 4-down territory (all hands on deck) at that point.

You had Foreman (a freight train), Hubbard (who is can make the first tackle miss), and even Sam who could QB Sneak with the best of them...

Going conservative is the same as a Prevent Defense :  It Prevents you from winning.

And kicking the FG instead of going for a TD?

Yeah....I did not like that call at all either.

You get the TD, then who knows how things shake out....maybe the Bucs call a different offensive play and the Panthers stop them?   Maybe one of the other Bucs players fumbles the ball and the panthers recover?
