Harbaugh to Carolina Makes Too Much Sense...

I can see him right there for the taking if we want to engage.

I see the Colts as a hard no--Harbaugh is pretty tight with the Polians and certain circles that simply won't work w/Irsay.

Broncos will likely be a no from him for reasons mentioned, but it's not impossible.

Only real competition for him are teams who haven't fired their coach yet.  I'd usually think this is a bit long shot discussion, but this is a very real possibility this time around.

He may want full control and as Tepper is ‘once burned’ , that may be a deal breaker

I don’t know how I feel about him   I know it doesn’t matter how I feel but it is cautious

also, the nfl has changed since his time in it

saying he is ‘odd’ is an understatement and that oddness or quirkiness, as I understand it, grated on players and staff alike in San Fran

oh well

I think if you go Harbaugh it's with the full knowledge that he is probably here at most 5-6 years. But, if you get a ring in that timespan, it was worth it. Or, really, if we are a consistent 10+ win team. At least then we are a very attractive option for the next round of coaching hires.

I do think he will wear out his welcome no matter where he goes.

I'm with Fu that Harbaugh is the most attractive option out there but likely wears out his welcome half dozen years down the road give or take. I'm willing to live with that at this point if he can change the culture of this place to something that wins more consistently, but am extremely leary of giving full control to any HC.

It just never works in the modern NFL. The job is too big for any one man. You need a fully empowered GM to run the FO, not a HC's puppet.

Do not want. He seems to be a tool and they had very mixed reports when he left the 49ers. I know a lot of you are Harbaugh stans but this is just my opinion. I want a current NFL coach.

Well there are plenty of cunty head coaches(or just coaches in general) in the NFL. What Harbaugh was able to do with those teams was pretty great.

If we eliminate all asshole HC's that might narrow the pool more than we want.

    • No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.
    • It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
