Sean McVay about to bail from the Rams

McVay knew what he was doing.  He straight up bought that SB win, future consequences be damned.  Either he was egotistical enough to think he could somehow swim through the shark infested waters for the next few years that he created as the team retooled, while trying to get back into cap sanity OR he knew this thing was bound to blow up where he would just walk away.  Neither of those situations are good.  Dude's a brilliant coach, but also a franchise wrecker.

Franchise wrecker? That's hyperbolic.

The Rams aren't wrecked. They'll go through cycles just like any other franchise, but unlike some, they'll have a championship to make them feel better (and that wasn't the first one).

If McVay walks away, how attractive is that job besides location?  Cap Hell, cornerstone players all about to retire and draft pick poor.  Looks like he's leaving the franchise in cherry condition.

I’ve seen a lot of dumb crying posts on the huddle over the years but the constant crying over us not trading Brian Burns is probably among the top five dumbest things I seen.

every time someone posts a complaint about not trading Brian Burns your IQ drops 15 points in my eyes.

it’s dumb, it’s childish, and some opinions need to be kept ton yourself.

If the Rams finish in 2024 draft with the 8th pick which pass rusher would you like?

Cant think of one? Oh look at that.

This isn't some gotcha thing like you might think it is. A few things that would be needed to know before saying who would be picked:

  • Who's the Panthers' HC?
  • What kind of defense are they running?
  • Which draft eligible players are coming out vs which ones are staying in school for NIL money?

Most sane people don't try to pick apart NFL drafts one or two years into the future.

    • Number 9  Carolina Panthers  Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, produced career highs in completion percentage (63.6%), passing yards per game (188.2) and passing touchdowns (23) in 2025. However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup. • This is why we need the Bank of America Stadium Ballroom.
    • That thread has all the huddle legends either posting in it or mentioned in it. I remember everyone of those folks and I truly miss seeing them post here. This place was so much better with them here.
