it’s especially weird in this case because Jax sank or swam on Lawrence’s back entirely, he had a bad first half and thus the team was bad, he went off in the second half thus the team was superb

i get that this weird anti-QB crowd was standing giddily at the ready at the end of the second quarter last night and now the narrative has to be salvaged and framed in a different context, but nobody is falling for it

last night was such a thorough deconstruction of “QBs aren’t important” and that it happened with a number one overall pick having so much influence-and ultimately winning a playoff game for a persistently bad franchise-only rubs salt in the wound of this odd crowd that’s fighting so hard against really vanilla truths.

He could have been our guy if fhule would have played Greer and not brought in teddy 2 gloves

It is some special level of coping mechanism or Bad QB Stockholm Syndrome.

Can you imagine, one of these stained t-shirt, basement dwellers talking to an NFL GM and giving some speech on how the QB isn't important to winning in the NFL?

Not even Skip Bayless or Colin Cowturd could deliver that troll opinion with a straight face.

its definitely next level coping.

the funny thing is is that the journeymen have a team right across the border in nashville thats built exactly how THEY want it to a T and surprise, they have been boatraced by teams with franchise qbs the past several years lol

The Chargers had Herbert and a +5 turnover ratio and couldn't win.

How much do QBs matter again?

A lot. Because I don’t think there’s many that can afford to do that and still come back to win. We don’t have a QB which is why when we get down 10 points it seems like the game is over.

Im mind blown right  is that there are long timers here trying to make the point that QBs don’t matter much.

That was a huge penalty that ended up potentially costing them the game.

It did because I don't think they would've gone for 2 at that point.

Bosa just basically said "Merry Christmas, Trevor" and the rest is history.

But also remember that the Chargers kicker missed one earlier before.

Had he made it, this comeback by the Jags would've come up short and would've been nothing but Moral Victory...blahblahblah while the Chargers dust themselves off, go "whew!", and get ready to get annihilated by the Chiefs at Arrowhead.

    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
    • Dan's been talking about upgrading CB since beginning of free agency
    • I'm more of a Hornets fan than I am a Panthers fan, I've watched a ton of this franchise the last 20 years. I post all day on RealGM. Don't get your hopes up, this is setting us up for a 20 point loss to the Heat and a swift end to the season. Spoelstra has always solved us, the Heat have two bigs that we have no answers for, and Jaquez is a certified Hornets killer that always plays us like he has a grudge on us. The Hornets being a top 10 team all year and a top 5 team the last half of the year and then flat out missing the playoffs is incredibly on brand for this crappy, horrendous franchise. I would love to be proven wrong. But I've suffered enough to know this little scheme the team is pulling. We finished 2 games out of 6th and guaranteed playoffs, and we blew two games to the Pacers and Nets earlier in the season, when they weren't trying to win. It's just who we are, Hornets DNA
