Nick Carboni reminds us of another quarterback McCown coached...

From a 2019 Observer article...

At Myers Park, McCown coaches quarterbacks, including his sons Owen and Aiden. But the starter is junior Drake Maye, the nation’s No. 5 ranked pro style quarterback in his class who has committed to Alabama.

Please… please let all this all star potential coaching experience be able to work together, even just for a few seasons..

Sentimentality aside, could be a few coaches for unfinished business. Some were here at was potentially great times for the Panthers. Familiar place, completely different roles, finishing the unfinished…

I like the potential….

Okay, I'm beyond intrigued now with the staff being assembled. I'm just going to sit back and watch this all unfold.

I'm really liking this so far.

It's like someone said, you want to make sure you have that locker room, then get a bunch of guys who have been players, who know the life, know the trenches.

What does this suggest, if anything, about the kind of QB we are going to go after?  Seems the HC and QB coach are more pro style QBs--

This is going to make me sound crazy when I realize that most of you consider me to be very, very, sane at all times---I almost--with this staff---think it may not be a bad thing to take Hall or Tune later in this draft.

They both have good numbers, decent measurables, and experience in college.  They both seemed to have flown beneath the radar.

    • Nothing wrong with it at all until you start telling others they are bad fans or not fans. But you are.    I did many years of that type of uninformed fanning because there really was no info and coverage like there is with the internet.    I mean, I used to go to the store and get Street and Smith’s annual football issue. That was about the extent of what you could get if you didn’t live in a big city with sportswriters covering and reporting.  There was no video to look at or replay the games and if you didn’t live in the market you could only rarely see your football team play.    TI have fanned since being a kid in the early 1960s, and as late as 1995 - ‘97 I lived in Atlanta and good luck getting more than 3 or 4 games a year on TV. No radio either. No print coverage outside of an AP recap and box unless they played Atlanta.  People today that have always had the network connection don’t know.    I wasn’t very educated about the Panthers until I finally got internet.
    • oh now that's what you call Mother Fiuggure fans the ones that always have this fierce protective shield around the team no matter if they win or lose  & to be honest there is nothing really wrong with being a Mother Fiugguer fan they just have a different meaning or sense of what a true fan really is                                                 ☺️
    • I'd gamble, miles josh green and 2-3 firsts especially if we could trade both this years and 1 future
