Love the hire...Also consider  the fact Frank isn't exactly a young man anymore. So we have two potential head coach replacements when he decides to step away.

Eh, nice thought, but not really logical lol

If Reich is successful enough as our coach to be here until he retires, which would probably 10-12 years away, then neither of the new coordinators (and likely Stately as well) will be here for that long, they'd have already gotten HC jobs long before then.

Agreed. Great situation for Bienemey to prove himself.

People are either gonna be proven right or look really dumb.

Best part is he gets to pair with a fellow great coordinator who was passed over a million times for HC gigs until we took a shot on him.

He gets (hopefully) full control of the offense and can learn from the forever a bridesmaid turned 2 time coach of year.

Not a bad landing spot. Minus the lack of QB talent.

We are so set up for success for the next few years....

Evero and Brown are locked in, but have capable replacements that should be able to take over in two years. Wash could be back in play for a second tour as an NFL DC and Duce will probably take over at OC.

I cannot wait to see what these coaches can do together. They are like Voltron and stronger as the sum of their parts. Very balanced between experience, knowledge, youth, ingenuity and connectability.

I think the NFL is already talking about how different we are going to be and fearing what's about to come out of the QC.

And for all of those that needed that warm and fuzzy "local ties/Carolinas native" filler, Reich has that covered too....and Capers....and Duce.....and McCown.

It's important to remember that minority coaches have to be on a team's staff for two full seasons for the comp pick to be awarded. If we lose both Brown and Evero after one season then that likely means the team had a really good year though.

Good point - I thought it was just one season.

    • would love it if Vegas were Week 5 (Oct 7).  Just throwing it out there with fingers crossed
    • I believe you are correct. Everyone remembers that record setting drubbing of the Broncos but that was the highlight of their season. They have very good coaching overall and they have a ton of talent. With a better QB they could have knocked off the Chiefs IMO. We aren't even in the conversation of the Dolphins until proven otherwise. We couldn't even get in the end zone against the lowly Chicago Bears. We got shutout and blown out by the CJ Beathard led Jaguars for fugs sake. We can't even compete with bad teams let alone run up the score on them. To me if I'm being completely realistic if I'm the GM and my job is on the line and I feel like Tua is Bryce Young's ceiling I'm drafting QB in the first round next year unless he just magically has a season like Stroud did last year. That's it. I'm genuinely not trying to be abrasive about this it just gets really mind numbing eventually that we keep lowering the bar down down down down down and it's like hey it's fine to have expectations. And if you have a young QB in his prime and he isn't giving you at least prime Jake Delhomme arm talent it's time to keep looking for a QB.
    • Not exactly.  They show that Jones was making the most of the opportunities he had.  I was never a fan of his, but I think that the talent level in NE last year is somehow escaping the massive negative attention it should have received.  That team was terrible - especially the talent and coaching on offense - and everyone was still afraid of the wrath of hoodie. He'll have a chance to restart his career at some point.  He was a middle of the pack QB as a rookie.  Plenty of teams out there would love to make it up to middle of the pack at QB.
