I actually like Levis, he’s who I’ve thought we were zeroing in on early.

I was hard on him--but my focus has been on Stroud and AR-15--when the quiet ones have not had the attention they deserve.  Young and Levis.

Remember, a long time ago, we thought Malik Willis was a first rounder?  Member?  He was an athlete who could sling it.  Member that?  I do.

I mean, Willis was a good athlete with very ugly tape against joke teams. Richardson is a top .01% athlete that shows some elite traits on tape against decent teams. It's really a world of difference.

I never liked Willis after watching his games. He couldn't process the field at all.

Malik Willis was a 4 year starter with college career stats of 62.8%, 8.4 y/a, 48 tds, 18 ints, 152.9 rating. While at Auburn, same conference as AR, he was 78.6%.  Also, Willis was dealing w/ different coaches and schemes and while the comp. may not have always been SEC, it was equivalent to his team.

AR was a one year starter with college career stats of 54.7%, 7.9 y/a, 24 tds, 15 ints, 133.6 rating. AR stunk up the place at Florida.  Trading away your future for such a big risk is foolish. Everyone is going to be heaping praise on him and then he will fall. I changed my mind about Steichen wanting him. That was wishful thinking.

Stats are incredibly misleading from college quarterbacks. They're nothing alike.

The problem with Hooker is he isnt worth 1st or maybe even a second. But how do you know what other teams think? Who says he doesnt get snatched up before he gets to whatever pick you deem his value is?

That’s the draft. Everything at the end of the day is an opinion. He could end up being the steal of the draft. That’s half the fun of this time of year is no one really knows a damn thing.

I much rather package our seconds to move up a bit if his name starts getting hot then draft someone like Levis at 9. God forbid the Panthers end up spending 3 first rounders for any of the QBs in this draft.

You could see it coming a mile away. The combine came and went, and now people are saying Stroud and Richardson are above Young. Some have completely written Young off due to size concerns. Size is legitimately the only negative I’ve seen posters refer to when discussing Young.

Bryce Young has been proving he’s the best QB among his peers since the Army All-American game. He actually weighed in heavier than many expected at the combine. He’s QB1 in this draft and I expect a career success arc that lands somewhere between Kyler Murray and Patrick Mahomes.

Could a freaky play cause a serious injury? Sure. But I just watched a 45 year old, with less lean muscle mass than Young, make it through an entire season. I’m willing to bet a 22 year old Young who will likely be weighing ~210lbs can hold up.

Only you verge and micifinent thought he would be a first rounder.   The rational posters knew this dude was fools gold

Now now, they are rational posters. But I never EVER thought that he'd be going in the first round. AR might though. Their circumstances and situations are only the same on a very rudimentary and cursory level.

Are you seriously throwing out Willis’s SEC college stats? Talk about misleading… I’m an Auburn fan and Willis barely played. He had what 14 pass attempts in two years there?? AR played more last year that Willis did his whole Auburn career (64 attempts). Willis was a TWO year starter both at Liberty, he transferred from Auburn because he couldn’t land the starting job there. Bias to the extreme against Richardson. I get it you don’t like the player, but let’s not try to mislead people on here with that Willis at Auburn nonsense…

There is no Trevor Lawrence, Andrew Luck, or Joe Burrow in this draft.  There might be next year. Makes no sense to mortgage our future for Stroud or Young. If one of those two can fall a little, move up. But in no way pay the ransom that Chicago will demand for their pick.

But there could be a Patrick Mahomes, Russel Wilson, Jalen Hurts/LamarJackson in this draft. Makes sense to mortgage our future now, unless you just believe we should tank now, then what happens to the dream staff? Do you really believe those guys got paid to lose their first season, its called a kings ransom for a reason.

Long Live the King, whomever that may be, but we know it ain't Levis, if we go to the top of the mountain.
