He's won 75% of his games as a starter.

lol some of you dudes just don't want this guy which is fine. Just admit you don't wont him. But when you push a narrative like this dude has fell off is just not true.

How has he fell off when he's winning 75% of his games as a starter?

Wins are a team stat, not a player stat.

I get it, but he ultimately got what he wanted. Rodgers also was missing camp and got what he wanted from GB. Players still have more control that people think. SizzleBuzz refused to believe it as we all watched Watson strong arm the whole Texans organization even through all his legal issues and walk away rich.

Jackson exists in a post-Watson world, though.

Results so far are indicating it's not going so well.

It's smokescreen season, except when it comes to Lamar Jackson apparently. Teams are making strong statements they are not interested in him. Odd given how this part of the offseason is usually performative.

I think teams have legitimate interest in him, but the cumulative price tag in picks and salary are causing teams to look in other directions.

Sure, but why make definitive statements on it? It doesn't help franchises to leak their intentions.

These are also very concrete statements regarding interest being leaked. There's not a lot of talk about money, it's more or less that teams are stating they have zero interest in acquiring him.

If I had to guess, it's all part of taking his mom to school as his agent. They're driving the price down. Eventually he will have to hire a real agent, but by that point he'll have hurt his value. They'll come back to the table, but it will be for a lesser price. Pretty standard negotiating tactics I would think. I've done it several times in real estate deals.

He’s a good passer and great runner but having to give a quarter of our cap to him AND spend two firsts is a deal breaker. If it was two or three firsts with a rookie deal, sure. A quarter of the cap on a free agent, sure. No to both. Especially one with injury concerns.

Yup, giving up two or three first rounders to move up and grab a qb is one thing because by the time you have to pay them you’ve got first rounders back. Giving that up and owing $35MM is a tough pill to swallow.

I mean even if he chooses not to sit he will make 30 plus million to play QB and if he gets banged up at all he won’t play through it just like last year. Having your star QB/locker room leader pissed at your franchise is bad business….
