Ian Rapoport: Panthers likely to have interest in Jimmy Garoppolo

Not to bad ,In five-plus seasons with the 49ers, his stats aren't eye-popping. Garoppolo has completed 67.6 percent of his passes for 13,093 yards, 77 touchdowns, and 42 interceptions.

But his 35-17 record as a starter speaks for itself.

The Strange/interesting part is Garoppolo has the highest winning percentage of NFL quarterbacks with at least 10 starts since 1950 -- If you only factor in the version of Garoppolo who doesn't throw a touchdown pass. And the number of times that's happened isn't insignificant. The 49ers are 10-2 in those games, putting the winning percentage at .833.

Injuries have created a lot of what-ifs but Through the ups and downs Garoppolo also has been one of the most winning QBs against winning teams since entering the NFL.

Since entering the NFL in 2014, Jimmy Garoppolo is 13-10 (.565) against teams that finished the season with a winning record.

I have never see a system as QB friendly as the 49ers. I mean it had Brock Purdy looking like an amazing QB. Yes Jimmy G has a winning record as QB.
But you have to realize that it is because of the system he is in.
He was responsible for them losing the Super Bowl and the 2022 NFC Championship. He has shown during big games a great capacity to choke.
As people have pointed out if we did get him it should be a 1 or 2 year deal, but with a rookie being developed behind him.

I mean.....he better be cheap. Anything over $25 mil would be a joke.

What's cheap anymore???

Danny Dimes is getting paid $45 mill.

Pretty sure every starting caliber QB and top level back ups will be getting more than 25...
