IF this is true then I imagine our staff wants to roll with a vet and a rookie next year. They are comfortable with Eason as the practice squad QB for emergencies.

No matter what, a vet is needed along with a rookie. Its always been that, since frank got here. Corral should at least be given a fair chance.

I mean most teams don’t have 3 QBs on the roster. Eason won’t get snatched off our practice squad if we need an emergency one.

Still doesn’t make sense to me. They aren’t going to find a QB3 cheaper with Corrals “upside”. He was never the answer to a starter, but he’s a better option than any QB3 they can get.

I thought sorta like PJ walker did this year, Corral would force his way on team. Plus depending on the vet(like buttercup jimmyG) injury history, 3 may be the way. Panthers have room, this team isnt that close to a philly/49er roster.

Brissett, rookie, and Eason on the practice squad.

The collective QB brain, must not be fans......who knows I still think lombardi is plugged in, but dont know for sure.

I agree with you, cheap, young and "upside"......"NO THANKS" current staff???? I get that he may be rougher than than they like, but not to the point of releasing him or giving away for a 2027 7th. With the 3-4 and different O system, he could find himself in the rare player for player deal. Some 3rd team DE....

I’ve seen Brissett thrown around a few times. At first I wasn’t fond of that idea, but I had forgotten that he’s played under Reich before. I am warming up to starting the season off with him and handing off to Richardson or Levis after some games. I don’t think we should sign him if our staff plans to go with Stroud or Young. Those guys should be out there game one.

    • Fair, sure.  Still not worthy of the #1 pick and still has major issues.  And you absolutely have to be concerned that for bryce to make a nfl caliber throw the conditions have to be optimal around him.  And those sacks around the 10 minute mark are just brutal to watch.
    • But his arm wasn't destroyed due to his throwing motion, it was from essentially two hits / injuries.  Tackle to prevent a pick 6 due to a lazy Benjamin route in 2016.  That was the start of having to be on a pitch count in practice.  2018 TJ Watt hit after Cam had already adjusted his mechanics and was having his best year statistically speaking, although I remember even that year questioning if he can still sling it deep.
    • Arm elasticity and arm strength are not the same thing.  There are some who have great arm strength but can't deliver off platform throws, sidearm, etc,  due to lack of elasticity.  I am concerned about Bryce's arm strength to deliver the ball when the anticipation throws aren't there and you simply need to fire a ball into a tight window.  Not sure that can ever be part of this game.  He does have good arm elasticity which is what made him special in college, throwing the ball on the move, that should serve him well in the NFL especially when he gets outside of the pocket.  My biggest concern is standing in the pocket, pressure in the face and not being able to set his feet will affect him more than others due to his height and arm strength.
