He was around 13-15 statistically and missed 4 games.....in a full season he is potentially a top 10 TE.

Keep in mind he also played in Cinn where they had 3 of the top 25 WR's in the league, so targets weren't easy to come by.

I hope so! That ranking wasn’t my opinion since I haven’t seen enough of him to say. I just perused a few TE ranking lists of last year and that’s the ranges I saw.

By all accounts he is a fantastic team mate. Look around the web, his team loves him, the fans love him, he does a lot in the community and works hard. Capable of making plays in the passing game. This is a good signing. Look at more then just his nfl stat page folks

better than Ian Thomas.  Fine add pending the cost wasn't too high.  But I'd like us to keep working at the TE spot.

deep draft at TE would love to grab one between rounds 2-4. Ideally a WR in the 2nd but if a top TE is sitting there I'd do that too

We are not rebuilding lol

We have a legit defense and our Oline is locked up for the foreseeable future. We are about to draft a rookie QB #1 overall. We are a #1 WR away from winning this division. It's why I keep bringing up Nuk.

I don't think people realize just how much talent this team has. We got all the major positions taken care of pass rushing DE, lockdown DB, solid Oline, young franchise QB.

WR is basically the only weakness we have right now. We are not rebuilding people!

Cornerback, unless you count the guys in the tub, is a weakness. Even moreso if Jackson gets cut like some people hope.

Right now, we have a bottom 5 WR core, a bottom 5 RB core, a TE group in the bottom half and an unsettled QB situation. We are in a rebuild

Mahomes just won a SB with a bunch of mediocre WRs. Scheme and good QB can get a lot done.

He also has the best TE in the game. Hurst <<<<<<<<< Kelce and Mahomes is a bit beyond whoever we pick right now. Also, Reich has never done what Reid did.

Panthers are expected to sign TE Hayden Hurst, formerly of the Bengals, to a three-year contract.

In Hurst's lone season with the Bengals, he caught 52 passes for 414 yards and two touchdowns while being among the league leaders in tight end pass routes. The always-inefficient Hurst, entering his age-30 seasons, would immediately start for the Panthers as the team's primary pass-catching tight end, dashing the hopes of every remaining Tommy Tremble truther. Hurst is well positioned to be a frustrating streaming option for fantasy managers in 2023.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
